We Grant FUNDING
Funding parks and recreation makes cents! And it takes cents! And dollars! That’s why we strive to make it easy for providers like you to access grants and funding.
We connect you to funding that supports:
• Leadership and professional development
• Parks and recreation plans, programs and initiatives
• Active living
• Diversity, inclusion and access to parks and recreation
Once you’ve decided on a grant that works for you, our online grant portal makes it easy to apply!

We Offer TRAINING
Recreation isn’t all fun and games. There are also risks and liabilities involved. Our ongoing training, certifications, and professional development will ensure your programs, services, and facilities are run to the highest quality standards.
Since 1985, we’ve certified hundreds of dedicated fitness leaders to instruct fitness classes at facilities throughout the province. Our certification gives fitness leaders national recognition through Fitness Leadership Canada and the qualifications to instruct across Canada.
In-person workshops, courses, and events in communities throughout Saskatchewan cover a wide range of topics, including:
• Arena and park operations
• Facility management and maintenance
• Physical activity and youth leadership
• Community development and beautification
Accessible, affordable online training-on-demand is also available and great for learning everything from exercise theory to managing large recreation projects.
We Build BRIDGES
Recreation connects communities and people, but it also builds bridges between agencies. That’s why we have made it a priority to partner with others who share our vision and coordinate their programs here in Saskatchewan.
Some of the partner programs we deliver include:
• Communities in Bloom – A national program that recognizes community participation in projects involving beautification, heritage, and environmental awareness
• Forever...in motion – An initiative to help older adults be physically active in their community through volunteer, peer or staff-led physical activity groups
• HIGH FIVE® – A nationally recognized certification that assists leaders working with children and older adults in recreation and sports programs
• Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders – An online certification program designed to provide tools to recognize and prevent bullying, abuse, harassment and discrimination
