Antonio lives in Rome for the past 12 years, but he is Sicilian. As a young boy Antonio loved to do in my country report, the gettogethers with friends, on vacation, at rehearsal with my old amateur company. As soon as he started the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome decided to attend the course in Photography’s theory and his teacher said that this was his way. Antonio had to photograph! So it was. However, he had neglected my passion for painting and drawing that was useful for what he does now. He is self-taught, but he wants to improve. The fashion for him is creative, colors, style, elegance! Antonio started with a job for my thesis for specialization in Visual arts on Advertising photography ironic and end up knowing the great photographers of fashion that have left an indelible mark, They had dared to go beyond the classical canons of aestheticism. Fashion has always influenced my life. Antonio thinks it is the one of the photographers’ name who have influenced and inspire are Pablo Roversi, Tim Walker and Giampalo Sgura. Antonio also speaks English.
Everyday you can find Rose Cefalu obsessing over her iphone photos and over posting on Instagram (@ rosecefalu), in her spare time she thinks about traveling and shooting her next fashion story.
Born in Oakland, California, Benjamin Patterson attended Bishop O’ Dowd High School. He was a 4-year swimmer and played drums in the school band each year. Patterson went on to attend San Diego State University where he was a psychology major. He moved from San Diego to L.A. after winning Male Model Of the Year at I.M.T.A. 2000 (in LA). In 2004, Patterson found himself busy, landing many small theatrical roles. He also landed acting roles in numerous television series and movies such as “Something New,” “Beauty Shop,” “Eve,” and “Days of Our Lives.” He began acting on the LOGO series, “Noah’s Arc” in June of 2005. He began his career as a photographer around 2006, shooting mostly other actor and model friends.
Right out of High School, Michael Oliveri set out and joined the United States Navy where he then learned his love for photography. While saving money amidst a long, strenuous 8 month deployment to the Northern Arabian Gulf, he saved up his nickels and dimes for a camera, his first camera, a 30D (Canon... of course). He then began taking pictures at the ports his vessel ported in. Unable to take pictures of people because of constantly being on the ship, he shifted his focus to still life.
When she is not writing about herself in the third person, she is producing award-winning content at a variety of outlets. Currently the Photography Director at Emmy magazine and producing sensual print and video works at Treats! Magazine she also enjoys teaching at the Art Institute of California. Her experience in producing content includes entertainment, style, travel, and lifestyle through a variety of editorial and advertising clients. A few notable magazines: Detour, Flaunt, Movieline, Statement, Primedia automotive, Variety. Rose founded her awesome company racermediainc.com in 2001
Since then, Patterson has been featured in numerous commercials for Gap, Ford, Marshall’s, Pepsi, and Macy’s. He is also currently a recurring role on the hit series “Greys Anatomy”. Having always had a love for music, Patterson also taught himself guitar, bass, and piano and started composing music for his solo project. He independently released his first three projects “Affordable Vacation” and “Psychology” & “Hollywood Summertime” online under his band name “SAPPHIRE SKY”.

After shooting still life for a couple of years, He then realized that he enjoyed shooting people more. After his 6 year stent in the Military, he then set out for a job and some strobes to learn to shoot people. Several photography and Photoshop books later, he realized he REALLY wanted to pursue this. He wanted to be the best so he enrolled in the best school around. Brooks Institute of Photography based in Santa Barbara, California. Not far from his hometown, the San Fernando Valley, he set out using his Montgomery GI Bill and numerous student loans. Upon graduation, he obtained a retouching and assisting job with celebrity photographer John Russo. He has since set out on his own venture.

THE PERFECT SUMMER SHOE
Co-founders Natalie, Reza, and JD "Call it a passion project. Call it a shoe that was at the right place at the right time. Call it a good time." The JIBS perforated leather shoe goodness reigns from tropical Brazil where the JIBS style is a huge hit for those who enjoy the beach to dinner, effortlessly fashionable lifestyle. Based in NYC the design team has elevated the style to not only be the perfect travel shoe, yet also the ideal hot, humid city street style shoe.
It’s a great bonus that with much love and laughter, all JIBS are hand crafted in the beautiful backdrop of Três Coroas on the southern tip of Brazil. The team is ever grateful to work with an intimate family run factory where the shoes are built with utmost care, and with all earnings that the factory receives being incredibly impactful during this time of economic hardship in their community. It is evident through the glow of all involved with the JIBS brand that a passion for fun, pure joy-filled life is the strongest attribute that goes into every detail of the perfect shoes for summer 2016 and beyond. Studio 60 is the premier phot and film studio located in the heart of Los Angeles, CA. They offer location services and multiple stages to do just about any type of project. I sat down with Mr. Joseph Enayati to discuss the building and some of their past projects. What was the building originally? In 1921 my building was a US Post Office. How did you get into the production field? My historic building from 1921 was the perfect location for filming and photo shoots. Every time that guest would come to visit the space they would always compliment the building on its unique exterior as well as interior design, with a 33 feet high ceiling, and no obstructing columns. Loading Docks big enough to drive cars in, with ample amount of parking around the premises. I was told over and over, through good friends in the industry that the building would attract the cliental that I built today. Can you tell us about a few of your more famous productions we have seen? A few of our more famous production you have all seen are: Germans next top Model 2016 with Heidi Clon, Jason Derulo’s music video: If it ain’t love, TJ Maxx’s Commercials, Sia’s music video: Elastic heart, E40’s music video: Choices (yup), Jeremih music video: You’re mine, Wiz Khalifah music video: Ain’t no changing me, Justin Bieber’s photo shoot, Kendall Jenner photo shoot. Favorite shoot(s)? YouTube rewind Sia- Elastic heart German Next Top Model With Heidi Clon Strangest shoot? The strangest shoot would have to be the Sharknado film. Also Machine Kelly music video World Series, Tryhadminja- Get off block, and Coupla Hot Chicks- One ring. Also a prop shop? How did this come about? It all began when production crews started leaving this behind, and well little by little it grew to a large amount of props and then I started buying more items from garage sales and it came about to what it is today. Future plans? We are the biggest and best studio in South LA and we will continue to expand to other locations. Picture cars, so if you have a cool car, you will represent it? How does that work? We rent out our cars daily. A custom Cadillac chopped top show car painted with a custom high gloss cobalt blue. 6000 S Avalon Blvd Los Angeles CA 90003 Studios60.com

PERFECTLY GROOMED AND WITH MAGNIFICENT MUSICAL QUALITIES, THE NEW OSLO-LOUDSPEAKER FROM VIFA IS TRULY FIT FOR ITS FUNCTION AS A COMPACT CARRY-ALONG BLUETOOTH LOUDSPEAKER WITH AUTHENTIC SOUND.
The design language is distinctively Nordic with an intriguing, raw simplicity, but Oslo is so much more than meets the eye. Designers and engineers at Vifa have indeed collaborated to obtain an impressive, largescale sound from this uniquely ear-blowing Bluetooth loudspeaker – while still keeping it at an accessible, acceptable size: “The challenge with Oslo was to create a product that produces a powerful, potent reproduction of music and yet has that understated, elegant design fitting into any interior. Since music today is mobile, we wanted an agile product you can easily move around in your home. Therefore we went for the upright lines, allowing for a small footprint. This means Oslo takes up little space – but still has the physics for a full-bodied reproduction of music at impressive playback volume,” explains Chief Design Engineer Mikael Ankersen. Oslo is a unique loudspeaker-experience, but still it carries the same DNA as the other loudspeakers in Vifa’s acclaimed Nordic series. The materials have been p .

carefully chosen in order to convey the core value of true Nordic authenticity: A special-designed textile cover from Kvadrat gives the loudspeaker a genuinely groomed look. And its solid aluminum frame underlines the idea of a robust premium product. Colorwise, Oslo is available in a range of timeless shades: Sunset Red, Sand Yellow, Ocean Blue, Anthracite Grey, and Pebble Grey. Finally, the discretely embossed logo and embroidered interface that has become Vifa’s signature in the Nordic series, allow Oslo to blend discretely in to any interior. Years of experience Oslo is the fourth wireless loudspeaker launched by Danish manufacturer Vifa in only three years. It continues to build on the solid experience and the proud craftsmanship of the Vifa brand that has its roots back to the early 1930’s where the company was founded. The strive for exquisite quality and superior, technological know-how has been dusted off over the later years where a stronger focus on product-design and Nordic elegance has been added to the Vifa products. Without compromising on the authentic sound which has been a core value for the brand throughout the years. Vifa.kd XLVI

Just imagine Scandinavian minimalism, Japanese precision, French elegance and Italian leather coming together in one collection of beautiful accessories. To achieve such a productive merger, it might be necessary to have an outside view, just like Budapest-based designer Agneskovacs has. The LIÉ collection is a handcrafted, multicultural journey from Europe to Asia, where the Scandinavian minimalism, the French elegance, the Italian premium leather and the Japanese precision meet in harmonious unity. LIÉ was created based on a design idea of the unification of opposing forces. Like clasped hands the bags are constructed by the unseparated parts of only one leather sheet which are accurately joined together to form the body. The inspiration came from a unique Japanese wood joinery technique where the perfectly fitting wood elements are fixed together without nails. The stability and the harmony emerged from the unity of opposing forces is just as important regarding the shape as regarding the content for the LIÉ collection which was inspired by aiming the creation of this ideal state. LIÉ bags combine the contemporary elegance with fine details, exciting geometric lines and functional twists. Up-and-coming brand Upton Belts launched with one primary goal in mind: to reinvent the belt as a stylish and necessary staple by elevating it beyond the mere accessory. Texas-based Upton Belts was created in the pursuit to establish the belt as an indispensable staple and protagonist in its own right, rather than a mere accessory. The brand was born online in order to deliver the highest quality product and the best experience without the traditional retail markup, resulting in an incredibly stylish product obtainable at a great price point. Meticulously handcrafted to the customer’s specifications, each belt is individually made and numbered to ensure that no two are alike. Offering

a personalised experience that focuses on attention to detail and service (rather than mass production), Upton Belts are handmade in Texas with leather raised on North American ranches and tanned in Italy. Available in three styles — DRESS/Duke, SPORT/Ward and CASUAL/Knox — the belts arrive at your doorstep inside impeccable packaging that also contains a fit kit and a hole puncher to further customise the belt when necessary. One of my favourite aspects about the brand is their art direction, plunging the belts in an all-white context, populated by the statuesque men that are brought alive by these beautiful staples, elevated to their rightful category. Greek desing studio CTRLZAK is a hybrid studio that integrates different disciplines and cultures. The founders, Katia Meneghini and Thanos Zakopoulos, are both artists and designers in their own right. The duo’s creations are inspired by their travels and experiences around the world and by their own rich cultural backgrounds. The studio creates artworks, objects and spaces but– above all– situations where people can come together in order to make what really matters: human relations. CTRLZAK’s projects and extensive research into tradition and cultural context create a new hybrid future by learning from the past. Each project is a story waiting to be told, with a multitude of forms and endings. Each one experiments with diverse methods of narration where irony and symbolism go beyond aesthetics and functionality, in order to activate mechanisms of reflection. Quartz is an armchair designed by CTRL ZAK and a collaberation with Davide Barzaghi, the result of a mathematical series applied to furnishings. The two-dimensional structure in beechwood – pentagons and hexagons – develops threedimensionally in space thanks to the volumising effect of the stuffing, upholstered with natural fibres. Thus, a comforting, wraparound microhabitat is created in this grid enriched with geometric shapes. Quartz is a limited edition production, due to the exacting nature of its manufacture. Indeed, each of the “crystals” that create the seating is distinctive. The result is that each and every creation is unique and inimitable. CTRLZAK.com

Sleek and alarmingly slender, the dachshund has been a men’s style muse for decades. Its presence has a power that has been harnessed by a select group, which counts Andy Warhol, E.B. White, David Hockney, and Thom Browne as card-carrying dachshund owners. Imagine this: The four men are sitting around a table at the legendary Bemelman’s Bar in New York. It’s late, they’ve outlasted the other patrons, with empty martini glasses as an explanation for their boisterous laughter. Warhol’s own Archie peeks his head out from under the artist’s napkin. Each man is impeccably dressed, but the true accessory here is man’s best friend. Designed with the interests of this imaginary party in mind, Thom Browne’s newly minted Tricolor Funmix Hector Bag is a life-size sidekick-cum-satchel that is sure to turn heads, both canine and human. It is a tribute to the pet as muse—emphasizing the fascinatingly asymmetrical architecture of a dachshund’s body. E.B. White’s own dachshund, Fred, was often the subject of the author’s adoring essays. “Fred was like a child in many ways,” wrote White, “and sought always to blow things up to proportions that satisfied his imagination and his love of adventure. He was the Cecil B. DeMille of dogs.” Thom Browne’s own dachshund and namesake of this bag, Hector Browne, is a ubiquitous fixture amidst the designer’s tailored-yet-twisted Fall/Winter 2016 collection. He is patterned across suits, hats, and capelets in addition to this toteable doppelganger. The Hector Bag, in colorblocked pebbled leather with an engraved gold-tone dog tag for extra believability, is the perfect size for most of your essentials. Place him on a flat surface and he’ll stand steadily on four legs. Take him through airport security and they might ask you for his papers. His presence is both functional and fantastical, a handsome asset to your carryall wardrobe. ThomBrowne.com

Apart from the creative side of music, Sam is currently an ambassador and content creator for the London based company "FightMe" and has travelled to Kenya as an ambassador for Global Youth Groove, a non-profit organization that provides musical education and experience. Sam is currently residing in Los Angeles, CA, performing, writing and recording his original music as well as for other artists. He continues to perform with "Overboard" across the United States and promote Australians outside of Australia everywhere. “Lean” is the debut offering from newcomer Sam Fischer. The track’s sublime and laidback chorus melts into Sam’s simple and soulful vocal. Infused with sultry R&B grooves and irresistible electronic beats, Sam is ready to unleash his unique pop sound. Growing up in the Northern suburbs of Sydney, Fischer wrote his first song at the age of 12, a passion that led him to pursue a career in music during his teens and become formally trained in both the violin and saxophone. A degree program at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston soon followed, as did a move to Los Angeles where he dove head-first into the music scene working as a background vocalist with HOLYCHILD. A prolific songwriter, Sam has cut his teeth in the studio writing for Rihanna, Clean Bandit and many others. Fischer is currently working on new material for an EP release later this summer. In the meantime, fans in LA will have two chances to experience his seductive sound live.

Founded in 2001, Thom Browne has redefined the aesthetic of men's suiting by introducing his signature cropped silhouette – expect short jackets and exposed ankles – rooted in late-1950s and early-1960s preppy American menswear, with some 1920s decadence thrown in for good measure.

The ingredients featured in this recipe make all the difference. Wild, fresh, and foraged flavors have become a staple in the culinary world, and this dish reflects that point. A main component to the smoked trout dish is the fiddlehead fern. The ferns have a great woodsy, almost bitter flavor reminiscent of where they came from: the forest floor. Their texture is superb, providing an added bite to the creaminess of the trout and fresh cheese. Technically, they are the furled fronds of ferns. They are incredibly healthful as well, high in fatty acids. Fiddlehead ferns can also be pickled and eaten anytime. For the smoked trout combine one cup salt (236.5 grams) and one-third cup (71 grams) sugar and sprinkle evenly over the small filleted fish. Refrigerate for eight hours to cure. Remove from fridge and rinse under cold water. Refrigerate the fish overnight, uncovered. In the morning, light the charcoal grill (preferably using applewood and charcoal). Once the coals are hot, push them to one side of the grill. Place a tray with ice next to the coals. Put the grill grate on top of the charcoal and the tray of ice. Set the trout on a metal baking pan directly above the tray of ice and “smoke the trout for ten minutes. For the farro. Put the farro in a pot and fill with cold, salted water until the farro is submerged. Bring to a boil and simmer. Cook for fifteen minutes until the farro is tender. Strain. Season generously with lemon juice, sherry vinegar, salt, and pepper. Add sliced tomatoes, sliced chives, and parsley. For the fiddlehead ferns. Remove the top portion of the stems and blanch in a large pot of salted, boiling water for a eight to ten minutes, until tender. Place in a small ice bath to stop the cooking process. To finish, spoon the nished farro onto the plate. Add the smoked trout on top. Garnish by adding the fresh farm cheese, seasoned fiddlehead ferns, dandelion greens, chickweed, sorrels, and yarrow. Drizzle with Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Ingredients 1 cup (236.5 grams) salt 1/3 cup (71 grams) sugar 8 ounces (227 grams) emmer wheat (farro) 1 lemon 1 bunch parsley Fresh cherry tomatoes Chives Sherry vinegar 8 fiddlehead ferns 6 ounces (170 grams) fresh cheese (burrata) Dandelion greens Chickweed Red ribbon sorrel Wild wood sorrel Yarrow

BLADE + BLUE
Blade + Blue began when Peter Papas found a baseball glove that he used as a little kid. That glove was a reminder of all the things that his father taught him and his brother. How all men share these same things. How we are connected through tradition. How some things never go out of style. All Blade + Blue products are made in limited quantities Peter is proud to keep things small and special. And when possible, the products are manufactured in the United States. Specifically, they are made close to home, in the San Francisco Bay area by old and new friends who are experts in their craft and passionate about what they do. Peter is just one person with a dream. But he never could have made it happen without the help of friends. He never knew the world was so full of kindness. Blade + Blue boxers are made in the USA. Peter created this line of boxer shorts because now that jeans and chinos are made slimmer, he couldn't wear his old boxer shorts. They were too baggy. Blade + Blue boxers solve that problem, they are cut slim but contain stretch for complete comfort. Boxers or Briefs? Definitely Boxers. BladeAndBlue.com

In 2013 Amanda Hedlund was asked to join photographer Andrew Grant to produce and self-publish his coffee table book of dogs called Rover, it was a no-brainer for her. Travel the country and help homeless animals. They would venture off major highways and interstates to explore the backcountry roads and small-towns of America. This is where she found much of the old American classic cars and pickup trucks, abandoned structures, landscapes, nature, wildlife and where her photography interest grew. They have visited nearly all 50 states Alaska and Vermont will complete that bucket list. What started as a roadside hobby and outlet to document her travels quickly grew into a fun collection of the things Amanda finds beautiful. We recently caught up with Amanda and asked her a few question about this stunning series called American Classics. Which photographer influenced you, and how did they influence your subject matter, and career path? I’ve always had a great appreciation for photography and fine arts, so photography was definitely a path I wanted to explore. My boyfriend, Andrew Grant, influenced and inspired me one hundred percent. He’s absolutely brilliant and a great commercial photographer. He attended the prestigious Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara and taught me so much about photography while traveling together. I knew nothing about shutter speeds or lighting – nor have I ever paid much attention to the horizon line of a photo. I looked at his work with admiration, so we started having photo challenges – photographing the same subject, which would ultimately turn out completely different because we put our own spin or perceptions on it. For my birthday, Andrew bought my first

As far as my subject matter, the 1953 GMC was my great uncle’s trapping truck that I recently inherited when my father passed away last year. I remember my dad, two brothers and I cruising around in this truck, windows down and a cloud of dust from the gravel roads flying up behind us – among other funny moments in this truck. Over the years, I had forgotten about the GMC as my dad had it stored away in an old shed on his farm. Prior to his passing, he looked through my American Classic images and reminded me about the GMC, which I didn’t realize at the time, but my fond memories were really the unconscious inspiration to capture the sentimental emotions in the decaying automobiles.

Exactly what is it you want to say with your photographs, and how do you actually get your photographs to have your distinctive look? I want to say – “Take the wheel and road trip!” Sporadic road trips are liberating and there is so much beauty in the world, especially in the United States, to discover and experience. Travel and be free. In this particular American Classics Collection, I have a love affair with old American cars – it’s a fascinating glimpse back in time. Restored cars are great, too, but there is just something about the grit of old, rusted, decaying metals and function, that really gets my heart beating. The excitement that I experience when peering into the window of an old truck, discovering the bright paint chipping away and seats torn in stunning patterns - is unexplainable. It’s sad to see old classics left in fields or neglected graveyards. These cars and pickup trucks are part of our history and it’s a beautiful thing to be able to capture them fading away, in a sense, and recreate their story. The distinctive look really comes from the decay of the cars and trucks – I try to capture the colors, textures, patterns
never see in cars today.

PHILIPPE STARCK CREATOR
PHILIPPE STARCK IS AN INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED FRENCH CREATOR, DESIGNER AND ARCHITECT. His profound comprehension of contemporary mutations, his determination to change the world, his anticipatory concern for environmental implications, his love of ideas, his desire to defend the intelligence of usefulness - and the usefulness of intelligence - have accompanied one iconic creation after the other. From everyday products such as furniture and lemon squeezers, to revolutionary mega-yachts, individual windmills, electric bikes or hotels and restaurants that aspire to be wondrous, stimulating and intensely vibrant places. This untiring and rebellious citizen of the world, who considers it his duty to share his ethical and subversive vision of a fairer planet, creates unconventional places and objects whose purpose is to be “good” before being beautiful. Philippe Starck and his wife, Jasmine, mostly live on an airplane or in «middles of nowhere».

LUC ARSENE-HENRY ARCHITECT
LUC ARSÈNE-HENRY AND HIS BUSINESS PARTNER, ALAIN TRIAUD, HEAD UP ONE OF THE LEADING ARCHITECTURE AGENCIES IN BORDEAUX. His firm designed a very eclectic production with a regional and international dimension. Two years ago, it celebrated its 1,500th operation since its inception thirty years ago. Knowing that Architecture concerns both teaspoon and urban development, he brings to each project the same passion and rigour, searching for an “adequate” response, far from any architectural style and posturing. He constantly looks for ways to “live better”. A faithful friend for more than twenty years of Philippe Starck, with whom he has already carried out several operations, he accepted Patrice Pichet’s proposal in a spirit of friendliness and complicity but also with greed. Moreover, the firm designed many other cellars: Ducru, Beaucaillou, Pichon Longueville, Gloria, Saint-Pierre, Petit Village and Porto Cruz in Porto.

A new cellat at Chateau Les Carmes Haut-Brion, a raw and minimal blade conceived by Phillipe Starck and Luc Arsene-Henry. Chateau Hateau Les Carmes Haut-Brion was bought in 2010 by Patrice Pichet, with the aim of making this unique 10 acre property a jewl in the heart of the city of Bordeaux. It was necessary to provide Château les Carmes Haut-Brion with new equipment to receive and shape the future vintages in the best conditions, and therefore live up to the qualitative goals of this prestigious vineyard of Pessac Léognan. Patrick Pichet, who has headed up the first single-family real estate group in France (since its creation), is a great lover of wine as well as design and architecture. That’s why he naturally called on two outstanding names: the famous creator Philippe Starck and the architect Luc Arsène-Henry. They have been entrusted with the design and implementation of an architectural building which include a new vat house, a barrel cellar and reception rooms. The works, which started in January 2014, were completed for the 2015 harvest, so that this vintage can fully benefit from the new facilities. The main entrance of Château les Carmes Haut-Brion has then been redesigned in order to open the propriety on the city. The cellar promotes the technical efficacy on the facilities putting the wine at the heart of the archtectural project. Only a high-technology construction can support the cellar master’s talent and make the mystery of the wine spring out. This mystery, colour of blood and passion, so deeply rooted in human being and so close to the flesh.
THIS UNIQUE ARCHITECTURAL WORK ANCHORS IN THE 21ST CENTURY THE HISTORY OF CHATEAU LES CARMES HAUT-BRION, THE ONLY CHATEAU IN THE HEART OF BORDEAUX, SITUATED 20 RUE DES CARMES. The cellar of Château les Carmes Haut-Brion is a raw metal blade plunged in the terroir. With no reference of scale, time or culture, this construction pushed to the minimum is the opposite of a constraining and ostentatious human architecture. Here, the contribution of Nature overcomes the input of Man, and anchors the cellar in its vineyard. Sanctuarized by the use of a natural and vital element, the building is surrounded by water as a thermic flywheel, which allows the wine to tolerate any temperature or season without being affected. The preferred raw and technical materials – matrix concrete, glass and metal – are arranged with a theatrical aesthetic, through lighting effects and a structure without a single loadbearing point. “Was this raw metal blade pushed towards the ethers by telluric forces or did it fall here from elsewhere? It’s a magic encapsulated in a miracle from which will come the extraordinary. This blade isn’t frontal, but slightly inclined on which the gaze wanders. As a harmonic confrontation between Nature and human genius, it melts and blends in with the water, the soil and the tree bark around. It is the product of Nature improvement by Human intelligence; it is the expression of Nature’s pure intelligence. ” Philippe Starck Major restoration work has also been carried out in the authentic and prestigious grounds of Château les Carmes Haut-Brion: the whole estate has been unveiled through a new entrance; the hydraulic systems and fountain from the 15th century has also been rehabilitated. Beyond the aesthetic aspect, the wetland restoration of the Château helps regulate runoff and protect the biodiversity specific to the site.

BOOKS An accessible and richly illustrated exploration of how art and design have driven major social and political change in the 21st century. Vitamin Green provides an up-to-theminute look at the single most important topic in contemporary design: sustainability. This new attention to the life of the things we make is changing the way design is practiced on every level and will be at the center of discussions about architecture, landscape architecture, and product design in the twenty-first century.
Features the work of over 200 artists, from the famous such as Ai Weiwei and Shepard Fairey, to the anonymous influencers working through social media. Richly illustrated with over 400 images, this is a visual guide to the most influential and highly politicised imagery of the digital age. Explores themes and issues such as popular uprisings (the Arab Spring, the London Riots) social activism (marriage equality), and environmental crises (Hurricane Katrina), as well as the recent Je Suis Charlie protests Global in outlook, it features exciting work from emerging economies such as Brazil, Russia, China and the Middle East, as well as the US and Europe.
Projects nominated by an international collection of designers, curators, critics and thinkers were selected to create the best possible sourcebook of the most exciting and original green designs at all scales, from eyeglasses to landscapes and from motorcycles to skyscrapers. The result is an inspirational survey of the enormous amount of innovative work being done in this field, as well as a directory of products, ideas and techniques for both designers and consumers.

Concrete takes a fresh look at the world’s most versatile and abundant building material. Collating fascinating and beautiful concrete buildings by some of the most celebrated architects of the last century, it features familiar projects from Le Corbusier and Frank Lloyd Wright alongside work from some of the leading lights of contemporary architecture including Zaha Hadid, Herzog & de Meuron, and many lesser-known newcomers. India is the first comprehensive guide to Indian cooking, with over 1,000 recipes covering every aspect of India's rich and colourful culinary heritage. Unlike many other Indian cookbooks, it is written by an Indian culinary academic and cookbook author who lives and works in Delhi, and the recipes are a true reflection of how traditional dishes are really cooked all over India. They have been carefully edited to ensure that they are simple to follow and achievable in western kitchens, with detailed information about authentic cooking utensils and ingredients. Indian food has been hugely popular in the UK for many years, and the appetite for Indian food shows no sign of diminishing. Now, for the first time, a definitive, wide-ranging and authoritative book on authentic Indian food is available, making it simple to prepare your favourite Indian dishes at home, alongside less well-known dishes such as bataer masalydaar (marinated quails cooked with almonds, chillies and green cardamom), or sambharachi kodi (Goan prawn curry with coconut and tamarind). The comprehensive chapters on breads, pickles, spice pastes and chutneys contain a wide variety of recipes rarely seen in Indian cookbooks, such as bagarkhani roti (a rich sweet bread with raisins, cardamom and poppy seeds) and tamatar ka achar (tomato and mustardseed pickle). India is the only book on Indian food you'll ever need. Phaidon.com
Arranged to promote comparison and discussion, the selected projects take the reader on a global tour of inspiring and intriguing structures: a German skatepark sits beside an Italian rooftop test track, a Japanese crematorium alongside a Portuguese swimming pool and a Brazilian government building next to a Chinese opera house. Illustrated with extraordinary photographs, each project includes an extended caption providing a commentary on the building. An essay by Leonard Koren, author of the best-selling Wabi-Sabi for Artists, Designers, Poets & Philosophers, offers an evocative and perceptive view of concrete through the author’s experience of studying architecture in California and living in Tokyo. Concrete is a beautiful and informative visual exploration of a material often considered dull and cold but actually full of spectacular potential. Phaidon.com
