Swami Vivekananda’s 150th Birthday
Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, has published a book on the influence of Swami Vivekananda on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Certain facts on the spiritual side of Subhash Chandra Bose during his stay in Singapore and Malaysia have been mentioned in this book in detail. Excerpts from the book: “I was just 15, when I came to know about Swami Vivekananda. After this, I found everything completely changed as if a revolution had taken place. However, it took a long time for me to know the value of his greatness and preaching. Some points were registered in my mind at that stage itself. From his picture and his teachings, Swamiji looked larger than life to me. I had a few questions nagging in my mind. However, I could not get the answers from my revered headmaster. I decided to take philosophy as my subject and follow Swamiji’s footsteps. I was drawn to Gurudev Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, only because of Vivekananda. Swamiji has delivered a number of lectures. He has written letters. He has published books. These are available even to laymen. The unlettered Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa has not done anything like these. His very life was a lesson for his disciples. Cultivating good behavior and nurturing spiritual knowledge were stressed again and again in his teachings. Without renunciation, it is not possible to understand God. His preaching is as old as Indian civilization. According to his disciples, he attained the peak of spirituality.” “Soon I could organize a group of students who had interest in Ramakrishna and Vivekananda. During our long walks, we had opportunities to discuss and debate about their teachings. (Netaji’s Life and Writings Part I - An Indian Pilgrim: The autobiography of Subhash Chandra Bose 1897-1920. Kolkata, 1948. Pages 42–45.)” In one of his letters, Subhash writes: ‘There is no dearth for God’s kindness. If we look around us, we can observe the signs of His abundant love. We think of Him only when we are in distress. We think of Him wholeheartedly. When we are free from our difficulties, we forget Him. That is why, in Mahabharata, Kunti prayed to Lord Krishna, “Krishna, let our life be full of miseries. Only then we will think of you. When we are happy and prosperous, we forget you. I would not, therefore, lead a life of happiness without remembering you!” (The Last Hero by Mihir Bose, Quartet Books, New York, page 10). In another letter he writes: “For many silly things in the world we shed tears. But we do not shed tears thinking of God. Ma, we are worse than animals; we have our hearts made of stone. Take for instance, education. We do not see the name of God in it. Life of one who does not utter the name of God is indeed a waste.” (Bhadravali (Bengali) 1912-1932, Kolkata, Pages 7-8). When did Swamiji’s impact on Netaji happen? Subhash has written a letter to his brother on January 8, 1913: “How India was once and how it is now? What a horrible change! Where have the great men, scholars, philosophers gone? Where are our elders who reached the intellectual peak? Today we do not hear the sound of Vedas. In the sacred shore of Ganga, Sama Veda is not recited.”

Swami Vivekananda’s 150th Birthday
He continued yoga exercises for some time, but he slowly found out that social service was important for spiritual growth. ‘This idea could have come to him from Swami Vivekananda’ states the author. In his letter to Haricharan Baxi of the South Calcutta Seva Samiti in 1926, Subhash Bose wrote thus: “To conquer fear, we should worship Sakti. Sakti means power. The images of Durga and Kali are the real power. We have unlimited power within us. We have to utilize the power within us at once. The worship is only a means to awaken our power.” On January 10, 1931, Swamiji’s 69th birthday, Netaji spoke in the Belur Math, during the birthday celebration. “It is very difficult to explain in detail, the multifaceted qualities of Swamiji. No other leader has made such an impact in the country as Swami Vivekananda has made.” Subhash has quoted that often Swamiji would say to his admirers, “One should have the wisdom of Adi Shankara and the heart of Buddha. We should have only these two as our goal”. During the days when Netaji was staying in Singapore, he had attended the birthday of Mother Sarada Devi celebrated at the Math, on invitation. He went to the temple inside and was meditating for half an hour. After the puja was over, he was talking to the sanyasis. After an hour, he requested for a copy of ‘Devi Mahatmiyam’ the story of Chandi Devi. When a copy was given to him, he was very happy. Later whenever he came to the Math, he would close the doors and sit for meditation for a couple of hours. He sought solutions for the critical questions before God. He felt as if God was holding his hands every time he overcame a crisis. He had a two and a half inch leather bag. There were only a copy of Bhagavad Gita, a Tulsi mala and a reading glass in it. These were the only items to reveal his connection with God. He did not proclaim his faith loudly. However, Vivekananda had a profound impact on him. Wishes for a Happy New Year
Goal Setting It’s not really a New Year without “New Year Resolutions.” Although a bit out-of-fashion with some psychologists, the 1960’s theories of pioneer researchers Dr. Locke and Dr. Latham on the efficacy of goal setting are still being implemented by corporations and big businesses, because they work. Also, Harvard university research described by Mark McCormack in his book “What They Don't Teach You in the Harvard Business School” revealed that 3% of Harvard MBAs earn 10 times more money than the other 97% by following a clear and written list of goals. So, enjoy writing down your own goals. Yoga A few sequences of Surya Namaskar are an easy way to coax our bodies back into health and flexibility. According to many yoga traditions, the physical benefits of these poses spill into the mind, giving a more flexible attitude, as well as a suppler body. A can-do attitude is likely to follow. Watch Your time Dr. Pillai has always stressed the importance of keeping track of time by simple means such as the ring of an alarm, but also by invoking the archetype of time Kala Bhairava. Chanting ‘Om Kala Bhairavaya Namaha’ 27 times in the morning will ensure better time management and alertness. Meditation with Sounds Recent findings in neuroscience show that the brain resists change and goes into a state of stress when one sets to achieve new and challenging goals. While some stress can engender positive change, prolonged stress has the opposite effect by creating resistance. Dr. Pillai’s meditation techniques with sounds are scientifically proven to change the brain and behavior and increase intelligence. Dr. Pillai’s work stems from his deep knowledge of how the mind works. He gives many specific steps to achieve miraculous results through sounds. I can definitely testify that those techniques did wonders for me. Chant ‘Om’ mantra at the third eye (where eyebrow meet) Relieve Vata Traditional Ayurveda considers the Holiday season to be a merry disruption of routine and an increase of the Vata (or air) element. Imbalanced Vata is said to lead to anxiety and insomnia. We decrease Vata in the physiology and the mind by returning to a normal, balanced routine of work, rest and diet. Warm and easy to digest foods eaten at regular times will restore balance. Positive Thinking "Talking about your positive goals and dreams activates brain centers that open you up to new possibilities,” said Richard Boyatzis, psychology and cognitive science professor at Case Western 14

Reserve University. He analyzed the effects this positive thinking and imagery during coaching of individuals and groups. He included in his positive thinking guidelines prayer and yoga. In a recent study by the University of California, Riverside, titled “Does Happiness Promote Career Success,” professors concluded that happy people are more satisfied with their jobs and perform better than the other less happy groups. Take Time Off While staying idle most of the time would definitely lead to self-destruction, a healthy dose of relaxation can renew our resolve and positively impact the outcome of our plans. Richard Boyatzis, said that “there is strong neurological evidence supporting the theory that engaging our parasympathetic systems – through regular physical or leisure activities – stokes compassion and creativity.” Short breaks renew creativity and refresh the mind. Live in the Now Last but not least, we need to be flexible and review our goal lists. If something has changed and you have received some inner guidance on how to proceed in your work during a yoga or meditation practice, chances are that you can trust it. In those states of silence, the mundane chattering of the mind is more likely to stop, and non-local awareness – another term for intuition – sets in.

Also, Dr. Pillai says that by staying in the now – not in the past or the future – and by living in ‘timeless zone’ we are able to stop time and become omniscient. Wish you a very Happy New Year filled with health, success and wish fulfillment.

How to Handle Different Behavior Levels of Children?
Q&A
How to Handle Different Behavior Levels of Children? Over-enthusiasm or being very timid – both these behaviors cannot come from a healthy mind. This is true not only for adults, but for children too. But many times, we fail to attach a serious note to this condition, which they repent later. Q1. How do I handle my over active child? He is too fast that he finishes the writing in half the given time, while the rest of the class has still not completed the work. His teacher complains that he disturbs other children and she is not able to contain him. What is the remedy? Astrologically speaking, he might be having a strong Moon -Mars – Mercury influence. It is a good thing that he is able to finish his work fast. Disturbing others is not a good thing and it indicates that these planets probably are counter supportive in his chart. His constitution might be having excessive Vata and Pitta energies- that is the windy and fiery energies that are characterized by Mercury, Saturn, Sun and Mars. Counseling might sometimes become counter-productive making him adamant and aggressive; especially if he has an afflicted Mars or Sun in his chart. Giving him foods that will balance these energies and slow down his hyperactive nature would give him more physical and mental stability. Vegetarian diet with lots of fresh vegetables, especially greens, sweet fruits, milk and cool spices will do him well. He can practice Yoga and meditation. But the best solution for him could be arrived at only after a detailed birth chart analysis. 17

How to Handle Different Behavior Levels of Children?
Q2. My son is in tenth grade. He is extremely good at computers. This has become an obsession for him and this is worrying me since he has to take the final board exams. Any suggestions? If your son is a voracious computer user, then your worry is justified since many are addicted to social networking sites like twitter and Facebook. However, if he is writing his own programs, creates his own blogs or websites, writes small programs and creates applications etc, do not discourage him. May be he is another Bill gates or Steve Jobs in the making! But he should be definitely sensitized that without academic qualifications it is difficult to become successful in spite of his computer skills. Whether he is a computer genius could be ascertained by analyzing his birth chart which, if true, will show strong and positively positioned Mercury. Q3. I have one son who is almost 18 years of age. He does not have any motivation. He is not doing well and fails in his exams. He doesn’t seem to be interested in anything. I am so lost and do not know what to do. Is there a remedy for this condition? Saturn is one planet that makes one a solitude lover, philosopher, researcher in abstract sciences etc. If this planet is weak or is not placed in a favorable sign or is associated with other strong malefic planets, then with all probability it will give the qualities of inactiveness, lethargy, lack of drive and enthusiasm. Moon is indicative of the nature and health of the mind and all mental faculties. If she is afflicted, the person might not have any motivation or become disinterested in everything. It could be that the person is so confused in his mind, that he is indecisive and unable to act. A qualified Birth Chart Analyst (Astrologer), can identify what is the root cause for your son’s condition. This will help in prescribing appropriate therapies that will help your son get relieved of his conditions. Q4. If my child sets his mind on something, he tries to get it done by hook or crook; be it purchasing a latest mobile or joining a snooker class. Is he strong willed and determined or simply arrogant? A well placed Sun, the Ascendant, Moon Sign and/or the 3rd House in Earthy signs, also gives the quality of perseverance and determination. A strong Moon in an auspicious House again adds strength to the will power of the person. Such people are sure to become greatly successful and achievers. A malefic Mars could make the person adamant and arrogant.
Author Bio
Observing the child is one way to find his nature. A detailed birth chart analysis will help better, not only to understand the present attitude alone, but the future too, along with the reasons and the possibilities of solving them. Q5. I find my son is getting attracted to anything that is new. His interests shift so quickly and frequently though he does fairly well in everything that he lays his hands on. How to prevent him from being a rolling stone that gathers no moss? Astrologically speaking, Moon and Mercury are fast planets. They rule the mind and intellect. Associations and/or afflictions to them might be one factor for a person to be fickle-minded, continuous change of interests etc. Moon associated with the ascendant or 3rd House which falls in airy or watery signs, or Moon sign itself in airy or watery signs might give the tendency of opting for frequent changes. Only a birth chart analysis could give the exact reasons with precision.

From My Bookshelf
From My BookShelf INTRODUCTION TO HINDU DHARMA – a compilation of extracts of Kanchi Seer’s discourses by Michael Oran Fitzgerald: Motilal Banarasidass Publishers, 41 UA Bungalow Road, Jawahar Nagar, Delhi 110 007. Many South Indian homes would have the volumes of Ra. Ganapathy’s compilation of the lectures of the 68th Sankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, titled ‘Deivathin Kural’ in Tamil. The same has been translated by a group of scholars into English too, as the Voice of God. Ganapathy did a meticulous job of compiling the Seer’s lecture held at different venues and beautifully edited them subject-wise for easy understanding of the subjects. His was a painstaking job and he did it with a kind of dedication and self effacement. The Tamil edition has seen nearly 40th print and one can imagine the impact it had created among the ordinary readers, who have no exposure to spiritualism. The Tamil poet Kannadasan too tried his hand in presenting a readable version of Hindu Dharma which has touched the masses and has seen several editions so far and continues to lure the lay readers. What Michael Oran Fitzgerald has done is admirable. He has edited the 6500 pages of written material containing the Seer’s speeches that were recorded, transcribed and then translated into English. It is not easy even for an Indian scholar to sift such material available to him, when the person who has made the discourses happens to be considered an authority on sanathana dharma. Michael has gone through the entire script on wide ranging subjects. He has talked about religion in general, the sastras that existed and our modern life, the Vedas, their content and purport, the samskaras (certain ritualistic ceremonies) and dharma applicable to all in the four stages of man’s life. “The sage of Kanchi’s extraordinary ability to present even highly intricate and abstruse concepts and ideas clearly and in a way even a lay person can easily understand comes across strikingly throughout. And so does his deftness in tackling controversial issues and apparently conflicting/contradicting interpretations in Hindu religion” said the scholar and speaker on spiritual subjects, Mr. C.L. Ramakrishnan while mentioning about this book. The book deals with several subjects and the reader can expect clarity throughout. Nowhere the reader would find himself or herself confused. There are no ambiguous statements which lead to seeking clarifications. Questions relating to the various classes in society, the incongruity between the ‘karma kanda’ and the ‘gnana kanda’ of the Vedas have been discussed in this book. He also talks about rituals and ritualistic purification processes meant for women. These should not be confused with superiority and inferiority status of women, but seen in the larger context of creation, where these kinds of variations had their own purposes. The pictures add visual pleasure to the book and many devotees may find them venerable to hold them for a few minutes in meditative mood. 20

From My Bookshelf
In his preface, Arvind Sharma gets into interesting parallels between Mahatma Gandhi and the Kanchi Seer. According to him, the separate section on FAQ in respect of ‘Dharma’ is a welcome one. Michael Oran Fitzgerald is a Professor in the University of Indiana, United States. He has written twelve books on various religions of the world. Many of them have won awards. His eight books, as well as, his two documentaries are still being used in the universities of the USA. “For over 70 years, right from kings and ministers to the sweepers have sat in front of the Sage of Kanchi and listened to his discourses and enjoyed them. Wherever he had camped, he had taken a subject and gave detailed explanations. People from different strata of society have heard him and found their time usefully spent” says Michael Oran Fitzgerald. According to him, “being the twentieth century preceptor, hearing about Hindu Dharma from him is special. People have felt an upsurge of spiritual feeling on just seeing him.” After reading the book which has fifteen chapters, the reader would have a complete picture of the sanadhana dharma. I would consider this book to be a thought-provoking one and which clarifies many concepts as it clears doubts on several aspects of the Hindu dharma.

Who is Your HoPE Hero of the Year?
Who is Your
HoPE
Hero of the Year?
Tripura Foundation thanks all their Heroes who heard the call to support their brand new "HoPE for the Elderly" initiative. Just like you, HoPE children never cease to amaze them. There are so many stories of their extraordinary compassionate acts this year that it's a miracle we were able to narrow them down. But after going through hundreds of incredible stories, they have to say, three inspired them the most. Help them select just one of these children so they can fund their very own compassion project.
Take a moment and tell us which Hero's story touched your heart the most Meet the 2013 HoPE Hero of the Year nominees:
Vishalani the Savior
Vishalani, while traveling with her uncle on a two-wheeler (motor bike), she noticed an infant playing in a field by itself. With a closer look, she saw two cobras fighting next to the child. She forced her uncle to stop and fearlessly ran to the child crying for help. She alerted a man to come fend off the snakes as she scooped up the child from danger.
Mythin the Mentor
Mythinrajan, helped his friend Ajith, after Ajith's parents had to pull him out of school to collect twigs and branches to sell just to make ends meet. Mythinrajan lobbied on Ajith's behalf to the HoPE Center, and everyone he knew, and got him back in school. He shares what little food he has with Ajith, and has asked his family to help Ajith's family.
Archana the Angel
Archana, identified a 100+ year blind woman name Periyandi in her village who desperately needed help. On her own, she goes out of her way every day to bring Periyandi water from a far well before school, and on the way home she buys her tea. She also ensured that Periyandi gets fed every day.

Pope Francis: Man of Compassion
His Moon is in the 3rd quarter (or pada) of Shravana, a star associated with ‘listening.’ If we look at the birthstars page on AstroVed.com, we see that the 3rd quarter (or pada) of Shravana has a Keyword of Communication. It can be useful to examine the specific pada of the Nakshatra someone’s Moon was in at their birth as the pada’s can be very different. For example, the 1st pada for Shravana has a keyword of Ambition, and this allows us to realize that not everyone born with the Moon in the Nakshatra of Shravana will have the same qualities as the specific pada does have influence. Pope Francis has Saturn (planet of compassion and service) placed in a good position that Saturn sits in Aquarius, a sign Saturn rules. Planets are comfortable to stay in a sign that they rule. Not only does Saturn rule Aquarius which is humanitarian of all signs, Saturn is giving Pope Francis tremendous support for an agenda of helping those who suffer and his Moon in the Nakshatra of Shravana is helping him listen to their problems and also communicate to others. Saturn gives him perseverance with his concern for others. Counting clockwise from his Ascendant of Gemini as 1st house, we see that Aquarius is his 9th house. This is a house of grace, past life merit, father and spiritual preaching. This is also considered one of the houses of purposes (also called trines/konas/dharma houses: 1, 5 and 9). A Pope is considered a spiritual father to the Catholic community and even other world leaders such as Putin of Russia have visited Pope Francis. Saturn is helping Pope Francis keep compassion in his heart. In addition, Saturn and the Moon in the Nakshatra of Shravana are helping him to bring this message of compassion out to the world at large. Pope Francis helps inspire all of us to look more deeply at what we are doing in our life to help relieve the sufferings of others and to take it to another level. Dr. Pillai, founder of AstroVed, runs a charity organization called Tripura Foundation which is doing an exemplary work in India and abroad. We invite you to sign up for their newsletter if you do not already receive it and we appreciate the growing support from the global community for the compassionate projects of Tripura Foundation. Because of this, their body became secured from food toxins and metabolic disorders such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension and high cholesterol. Among the spices, Cumin seed is respected as a life promoter in Ayurveda because of its higher anti-oxidant activity, anti-carcinogenic, liver protection, gastro-intestinal protection and many other qualities.

HoPE for the Elderly
Calling All Heroes: We Need You!
During Diwali 2013, our HoPE Children identified the most destitute elderly people in their villages who required immediate care. Some of these people were disabled, abandoned, unable to care for their bodily functions, and/or even able to get food or water. It breaks my heart to say that many are still experiencing slow and incredibly painful deaths with no one to look after them. We couldn't just stand by and watch this happen. That's why we started a new initiative "HoPE for the Elderly" where heroes like you can adopt one of these grandparents, and make sure they don’t suffer anymore. It brings me great pleasure to tell you that our HoPE children are leading the way! Just read what our 6th grade Hero, Archana, did - immediately leaping into action, she identified Periyandi, a 100 year old blind widow living all by herself in a mud hut. Periyandi has no relatives to look after her, only a local neighbor who gives her the occasional meal - when she can spare it. Being blind, Periyandi struggles to do anything without someone's help. Out of her immense compassion, Archana was compelled to do something. She discovered that Periyandi enjoyed drinking tea, so, on her own, she started to bring tea every day to make Periyandi smile. Still concerned with how Periyandi would eat, Archana ensured our HoPE champions started providing daily, vital food rations to give Periyandi much-needed strength and nourishment.

HoPE for the Elderly
She could have stopped there, but Archana wanted to make sure her critical needs were taken care of. So, every day she travels to a faraway well on Periyandi's behalf to fetch fresh water! This young girl's actions just blew us away! Thousands of our HoPE children perform heroic feats like this every day. They have taken it upon themselves to provide the love and care these elderly people so desperately need, and have gone out of their way to deliver precious food, water, and clothes – but they need help for this support to continue. For just $30 a month/$360 a year, you can save one of our innocent elder's lives, and help our HoPE children continue to blossom into the compassionate leaders of tomorrow. Without you, none of this would be possible. It's your turn to be a Hero. Take a moment to not only save a life, but to be a Heroic role model for our HoPE children. Every penny you donate for this program goes to saving these people's lives! Be A Hero. Send our children and the destitute elderly in their communities the financial support they need to end this suffering. Please refer for further details: http://www.tripurafoundation.org/donate.html

ISRO chief Radhakrishnan seeks divine blessings for Mars mission ISRO chairman Dr G Radhakrishnan offered worship at shrine of Lord Venkateswara, Tirupati on November 4, 2013, ahead of India’s maiden mission to Mars (Mangalyaan). He also performed pooja at Sullerpet temple. As per common practice, ISRO chairman Dr G Radhakrishnan performed special poojas to the prototype of PSLV-C 25 rocket at the temple of Sullurpet village deity, Changala Parameswari, located in Sullurpet town, Andhra Pradesh. Generally, Dr Radhakrishnan performs pooja in the local temple after visiting Tirumala before such important mission. In this instance, however, he offered prayers at the local temple and then flew to Tirupati. Radhaksrishnan and his wife had visited the famous Lord Venkateshwara Temple. He had placed the replica of the Mars Mission before the Almighty. After the special pooja Radhakrishnan said that they did not want to leave anything to chance. India's journey to Mars began with the successful launch of the Mars Orbiter Mission on November 5, 2013. Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) joined an elite club of just four agencies in the world which dared to travel to Mars. Oldest Buddhist shrine uncovered in Nepal may push back the Buddha's birth date In the month of November 2013, a National Geographic archaeologists’ team provided new evidence that stunned many historians and archaeologists regarding the birth date of Lord Buddha, dating to around 550 B.C. Located at the legendary site in Nepal’s pilgrim centre Lumbini where the Buddha was said to have born, the discovery points to Buddha having lived more than a century earlier than dates acknowledged by many learned scholars. The excavations showed that older wooden structures lay beneath the walls of the Buddhist shrine, later built with bricks. The layout of that more recent shrine duplicates the layout of the earlier wooden structures, pointing to a continuity of Buddhist worship at the site. Apart from the team involved in the archaeological survey, many other scholars outside also applauded the discovery, but cautioned against readily accepting the site as the oldest discovered Buddhist shrine, without more specific analysis. But, no one can deny that a twist has been added to the fact regarding Buddha’s year of birth.

Time Management Secret
I am going to talk about some of the secrets about time. Time is everything. You should not waste even a minute of time or misuse it. If you do this, you are insulting time. If you insult time, you insult money. The money will not come to you. Not only money will not come to you, there will be no rewarding action at all. If you look at life itself, there are two axes – X and Y – in life. One of them is time and the other is events. Events are placed in mono axis and time is another axis. This is how you can represent time and happenings. There is certain time which is good and times which are bad. This is generally speaking about one’s life. There are also times on everyday basis. Let us say, the time is 1.30 here. It is time I need to talk about the time. One o’clock is the time of Kala Bhairava. It is 1 p.m. now. The time is perfect to do the video and it is also the 8th moon. The 8th moon is the time of God of Time. The God of Time has his own time and it is the 8th moon at 1 o’clock is the exact time. I am trying to do this video and from now on I will tell people that I would not meet with any people or anybody for more than five minutes. All my interviews are going to be only for five minutes unless there is something very important, which I personally consider to be for longer time. But I have decided not to waste time hereafter. I have wasted enough time on my own reflection of my own time. This I wanted to pass on just to evaluate what you are doing every moment.

From YouTube
So wake up in the morning. Time passes away without any reward. Any time you waste, you are offending a lot of time, according to Siddha guru Venkatraman. But you happen to waste time, because in the previous life, you have insulted Kala Bhairava. So, there is a remedy for this and that remedy is doing the ritual for Kala Bhairava on the Ashtami, the 8th moon time. Just pray to him. I am going to have AstroVed special time programme and as a matter of fact, two years ago, an event called Kala Bhairava Time Management Programme was held. From the beginning, therefore, I am trying to do something for Kala Bhairava, the God of Time. The most important message for all of us is time is very important. Also, evaluate what you were doing at a particular time. You may be busy, but busy with what? That is also something you have to take into consideration. Busy doing something stupid is not very rewarding at all. That is also a waste of time. So, every minute and every hour is spent in the most productive and useful way. It is difficult for a person to do that because he or she has karma. Everybody has karma. So, karma is time. Karma will, therefore, make you remain in the same mode of operation, the same job, the same business or whatever you do. That is karma; that is karmic time. But the time of Kala Bhairava is that you can transcend the time. You can transcend the karma to yet another time. The first thing you have to do is stop blah blah. Stop talking on the phone for a longer time. So first establish certain rules that I am not going to talk to anybody for more than five minutes or ten minutes. There is nothing to talk for more than ten minutes, unless you want to waste time. The most important thing for you to do is just be conscious of your time and just use it very intelligently. Then, your life will be successful and that is the message on the most auspicious time of the New Year. Dr. Baskaran Pillai, Founder, AstroVed
