POCKET PATROL DESIGN BRIEF: To design a device with proper digital display and control that stores and manages all written data maintained in the registers. TARGET USERS: Security guards (commercial complexes, residential areas and institutes).
Classroom project. Duration- 4 weeks. Group project (group of 3).
saumya.arora@mitid.edu.in +91 9545373493
The guards need to maintain about thirteen registers. They have to preserve all the earlier registers, which can be referred to at any time. Lot of paper and ink is wasted as they use specially printed registers for this purpose, which is also not economical.

FORM STUDIES DESIGN BRIEF: To study form transformation (from 2D to 3D) and gradual transformation through cross sections. Classroom project. Duration- 3 weeks.
saumya.arora@mitid.edu.in +91 9545373493
Form Transition through cross sectional views was the main purpose of this form. Gradual transition between two forms makes it look as if the top form has been derived from the base form, but actually they are two different forms that are merged together with the help of cross sections that evolved during the transition. Material used: PVC foam sheet.
saumya.arora@mitid.edu.in +91 9545373493
This form originally was a 2D form which has been bent and twisted so that it can occupy 3D volume. The main form has been supported by it’s counter form to give it more definition and to increase it’s aesthetic appeal. Material used: 1mm Aluminium sheet.
