"If you weren't an optimist, it would be impossible to be an architect." - Norman Foster I have always been an optimist. When I chose a degree in architecture after the economy collapse in 2008, there were many that advised me not to, but I saw opportunity and joy in the way I looked at designing the infrastructure of a growing community; in picking up the pieces and finding new and innovative ways to approach such problems. My optimism is what I believe makes me a great leader and counselor to my peers. It helps me delight in day to day activities and find comfort in failure. I have lived in the midwest my entire life and I am ready for something new. The cities of the world are shaping how we live more than ever and I want to be a part of that change. Come graduation, my husband and I hope to relocate to a city of community, of creativity, and of change. I am excited and optimistic for when that day comes.
