OUR GOAL: is to provide Savannah-area residents with a premiere level of hearing care by offering customized hearing solutions based on an individual’s hearing loss, listening needs, lifestyle and budget. IT’S IMPORTANT TO KNOW: that today’s device technology is not what your grandparents wore. Devices have as much processing speed as a laptop and well-fit, high-quality devices can and will significantly improve the quality of your life and help keep you connected to the world around you. Recent studies have shown that adults with hearing loss experience a 30-40% faster decline in cognitive abilities and are 5 times more likely to develop dementia. We see evidence that devices are a prevention against accelerated cognitive decline.

WE WISH OUR PATIENTS REALIZED: that when a patient is first fit with a device, they go through an adjustment process as their ears get used to hearing sound again. Controlling the sound in the first few weeks can lead to greater acceptance of the new sound. Once your program is established, devices require regular maintenance. It is critical that you have a Doctor of Audiology guiding you through this fitting and maintenance process. If your device is not working properly, you will not hear as well as possible. We recommend that you see your audiologist every six months to have the function of your device accessed, maintenance performed and the health of your ears monitored. MAY IS BETTER SPEECH AND HEARING MONTH: Celebrate with us May 6-8, when our office is providing complimentary evaluations and consultations to discuss your communication needs.
