BOLIVIA Save the Children has been working in Bolivia since 1985, implementing programs directly, as well as with partners and stakeholders.We seek that the most vulnerable children attain their rights to survive, learn and be protected from harm. Our approach focuses on comprehensive child development and child participation.

Child Rights Governance: we work with national and local governments to ensure compliance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child.We also advocate for legislation to protect children´s rights and to increase public investment in children.
COCHABAMBA SANTA CRUZ ORURO
Protection: we strengthen child protection systems so children can live in an environment free of violence and exploitation.We work towards eliminating all forms of physical and humiliating punishment of children at home and in schools. Child Poverty Reduction: we promote policies and advocate to reduce child poverty, and implement programs on adolescent skill-development in order to enable them to make a successful transition to adulthood. Health & Nutrition: we seek to ensure equitable access to health care and nutrition for the most vulnerable children and promote access to sexual and reproductive health for adolescents.

IMPROVING NUTRITION AND SCHOOL HEALTH IN BOLIVIA
GOAL To reduce the different forms of violence to which children and adolescents are exposed in the departments of La Paz, Cochabamba and Beni.
GOAL To improve health and nutrition among 50,000 children aged 3 to 13, in pre-school and primary school, in the cities of Oruro and La Paz.
IMPACT
100 facilitators from different institutions trained in Positive Discipline to promote child protection. 450 parents and caregivers trained in Positive Discipline. 800 children and adolescents trained on prevention of violence and reporting cases of violence to the local office of the Child Protection System. 6 community protection networks in La Paz, Cochabamba and Trinidad

EVERY LAST GIRL CAMPAIGN GOAL To enable the most excluded adolescent girls in Bolivia to thrive and build a better future for themselves and their babies.
IMPACT Developed a campaign in coalition with 24 partner institutions. Online survey with over 16,000 adolescent girl participants 6 videos and 6 banners (infographics) for social media to spread results of our surveys – reproduced 50,000 times on average Most programs and projects in SCI Bolivia include campaign components in their programming. Save the Children in Bolivia is part of the Committee on the Plurinational Prevention Plan on Teenage Pregnancies of the Vice Ministry of Equal Opportunities. Departmental platforms on the prevention of adolescent pregnancy, strengthened by the campaign.
