Neon Bracelets with Bungee Cord
Fu n & Fast ! Adrianne finished this blue neon bracelet in just 10 minutes - and it was her first time working with bungee cord!
Supplies: Bright Cool Mix Bungee Cord (1999-5918)
Bronze Mix & Mingle Beads Textured Bronze Clasp

How To: 1) Cut 2 lengths of blue bungee cord, each about 6-3/4 inches for a

7-inch finished length. Optional: Use a lighter or another open flame to melt the ends slightly, so they won’t fray while you’re working.

a) Add a large drop of glue to the inside of one end cap on the clasp, and glue both cords together into place.
b) Thread both cords through your Mix & Mingle Beads.
c) Use the bead reamer or pin as a pick to pull both cords
through the large hole Mix & Mingle Beads.
2) Your ends may have stretched unevenly during the beading process. That’s not a problem! Just trim them evenly, and melt them again, if you’re comfortable doing so. Then glue on the other end cap for the clasp.

Horseshoe Charm Station Necklace

Supplies: Silver Horseshoe Charms (1999-235) 7mm jump rings (1957-14) Steel Cable Figaro Chain (2001-46) Diagonal Wire Cutter (1893-05) Horseshoe Latch Clasp (1999-3000) or Lobster Clasp (1957-17) Jewelry Pliers
How To: 1) Cut four lengths of chain in varying lengths, based on what will fit you and how long you want your necklace to be. Tresa cut her shortest chain at 18 inches, her longest chain at 33 inches, and the other two in between.

2) Lay out your chains so they are centered, and scatter your horseshoe charms across them, positioning the charms randomly so they do not line up with each other. Snip the chains where you want each charm to hang.

3) Open a jump ring (remember to twist, not pull tthem apart) and use it to connect one side of your first horseshoe charm to the first length of chain. Close the jump ring. Repeat on the other side of the charm. 4) Repeat this process for the remaining charms. 5) Attach your clasp. If using the horseshoe latch clasp, use jump rings to attach each length of chain to the clasp. If using a lobster clasp,

attach the right side of all of your chains - in order! - to a single jump ring. Repeat this process for the other side, but add your lobster clasp before closing the jump ring.

How To: 1) On a palette or piece of cardboard, mix chunky silver glitter with

silver paint until you get the amount of sparkle you want. 2) Using your paintbrush, paint the mixture onto just the ends of your suede tassels. Let dry completely. Note: You may want to check your tassels periodically during the drying time, to make sure the painted suede is not sticking together. 3) Slip the tassels onto the kidney wire earring findings, and they’re ready to wear!

When you tie on these friendship bracelets, make a wish! As the bracelet cord wears and the beads fall out, your wish will come true.
Supplies: Colored Hemp Cord Scissors Seed Beads in Your Choice of Colors

How To: 1) Cut three 18 inch lengths of colored hemp cord. Tie them together with an overhand knot, leaving a 3 inch tail. 2) Braid about 3 inches of the bracelet.

3) Add one seed bead to the middle strand. Continue the braid so that you wrap both of the side strands around the bead. 4) Repeat the process in #3 to add 5 seed beads total. Note: You can adjust the braided lengths and beaded lengths on this bracelet to create different looks. 5) Braid another 3 inches after the beads. 6) Tie another overhand knot to finish your bracelets.

How To: 1) Make your beads into charms. To start your beaded charm, simply thread a bead onto a headpin. Then:

a) Using your round nosed pliers, loop the pin over the pliers
b) Wrap the pin around the neck of the loop you just created
c) Cut any excess off with your wire cutters
Repeat this proces to turn all 26 of your beads into bead charms. 2) Chain 3 of your 7mm jump rings together and attach them to an earring wire. Repeat for the other earring. 3) Use your 4mm jump rings to attach the bead charms, starting at the bottom. Add 3 bead charms to the lowest ring, 6 charms to the

center ring (3 charms per side), and 4 charms to the top ring (2 charms per side). Note: Adrianne used an equal number of pearl beads and blue cats eye beads in her design. Substitute your favorite beads for a custom look!

How To: 1) Remove your sueded cording from the package. You may need to carefully use a mini iron to smooth out the kinks. 2) Cut nine 10 inch strips of cording. It’s okay if your lengths are not exact - they will be trimmed even later. 3) Align your strips, making the ends as even as possible. Bend and wrap an eye pin around the center of your strips, leaving about half

an inch of straight wire near the loop eye. 4) Apply a dab of E-6000 to the inside of an end cap. With your cord ends and eyepin loop facing downward, squeeze the center of your cord bundle and slide it into your end cap before the glue dries. 5) Trim the ends of your suede cording evenly with scissors. 6) Use pliers and a jump ring to attach a lobster clasp to your tassel

end cap. 7) Use pliers and a jump ring to add charms and chain lengths to your eye pin loop. Note: We love the components from Darice’s new Chic & Charmed line for these tassels. Try bead drops, letter charms and more to create your own look!

How To: 1) Cut 4 strands of hemp about 12 inches long. Adrianne cut 2 strands of each color, but you can use just 1 color for a simpler look. 2) Thread 2 strands through one of the connector’s holes. At the halfway point, double the cords and tie an overhand knot. Repeat on the other side, so you have 4 equal-length strands coming off each end. 3) Braid a 4 strand braid for about 2-1/2 inches on each side. (See

note, top left, if you aren’t familiar with making 4 strand braids.) If you choose connectors that are a little longer or shorter, you will need to adjust the length of these braids. Ultimately, you want your braided sides and connector to measure about 7 inches total. 4) When your braid is the desired length, tie a bit of hemp around that point tightly. Then cut below it with your scissors. 5) Add a dab of jewelry glue to the inside of your cord clasp end cap, and insert the cut end of the braid. Repeat on the other side, and let dry. Your colorful nautical bracelets are now ready to wear!

How To: 1) Cut two lengths of the flat black bungee cord. The longer cord measures around 5 inches, and the shorter about 4.5 inches. If you’re comfortable using a lighter to singe the frayed cord edges, it will help

prevent unraveling. Note that this particular cord isn’t very flexible, so shorter lengths will lay a little nicer. You can also substitute a smaller, more flexible bungee cord - try the flat cords in neon colors. 2) Add your slider beads, alternating them with Chain Maille rings. 3) Overlap the cords slightly to fit the width of a ribbon end finding.

Use your smooth, flat nose pliers to close the ribbon end. 4) Repeat for the other side. You may want to overlap the cords in the opposite order, to make the focal piece lie flatter. You may also trim and singe either of the cords at this point if you find one is too long.

5) Open links to separate 2 lengths of curb chain for your necklace top. We made 7-1/2 inch curb chain lengths for our necklace. 4) Use your pliers to attach the chains to the ribbon end findings. Attach half of the toggle clasp that came with your kumihimo findings to the other end of each chain. Your necklace is complete!

How To: 1) Begin by misting your sheet moss with water to dampen it so it will be easier to work with. Blot any excess water with a paper towel. Pick

out a few choice bits of moistened moss for your terrarium. Make sure they’re not too big for the glass bottle, but don’t put the moss in yet. 2) Add sand to your bottle. Esther filled hers about 1/8 full with sand. 3) Take your bits of moss and place them carefully into the bottle. Use pliers and a small screwdriver as needed to tuck the moss inside.

4) Let your terrarium sit open for an hour or two, so the moss can dry out. If you don’t, the moss might mold inside the charm. 5) Once the moss has dried, glue the cork cap on with Fabri-Tac. 6) Cut off a long length of waxed linen cord. Line up both ends of the cord, then slip them through the ring on the cork top. Thread the two ends through the waxed linen loop that forms, and pull it tight to knot

the mini terrarium charm onto the center of the cord. 7) Tie the two ends of cord together to your desired necklace length, and trim the excess cord as needed.
