WELCOME | FÁILTE Savour Kilkenny returns to the medieval city this October bank holiday weekend. We are so proud that Kilkenny was crowned the Top Foodie Destination in Ireland for 2018 and delighted that Savour was part of this prestigious award. Having started out as a small festival showcasing the quality and innovative work of local artisan producers, we have now grown to over 90 demonstrations and events and 100 stallholders. We are delighted to be back on The Parade, placing our largest ever Market, our Craft Brewers & Distillers Pavilion, and our demonstration marquees at the foot of the 12th century castle in our 12th year! We welcome JP McMahon and Brent Pope to Kilkenny for their first Savour festival and are thrilled to welcome our returning chefs and demonstrators. This festival will bring you some of our most memorable events to date such as a tribute to the O’Connells of Cullohill; a battle to remember in 'The Kitchen Clash of the Ash’ with Jackie Tyrrell and Paul Murphy; Darkness into Light Bowls Exhibition & Auction in aid of Pieta House; an evening of inspiration in 'Unlock Your Full Potential' with Brent Pope, David Gillick, Miriam & Gerry Hussey; and a series of healthy cooking demos, engaging talks and well-being focused clinics at KBC Kilkenny, It is also the first year for our Battle of the Breakfasts competition, where we asked you, the public, who makes the best Kilkenny breakfast and the winner will be announced on KCLR live from Savour's Market. Huge thanks to all our sponsors, partners participants, stallholders and, of course, to you for making our festival even better each year! We would especially like to acknowledge the invaluable support and funding that Kilkenny County Council extends to us every year, which enables our festival to develop and grow. We’re looking forward to seeing you this October bank holiday weekend. Is mise, Ger Mullally Festival Committee Chairperson COMMITTEE: Ger Mullally, Ian Brennan, Annmarie Hogan, Marie Langton.
