Hey Trojans, How exciting that we are back to school and getting ready to learn and grow as people. I know with school it may conflict with our service events or activities but don't you worry as we setting up events at dates that wouldn't conflict too much with people schedules. Just want to remind all that if any of you have any problems at school or home you can talk to me or any member of the Division Leadership Team as we are here to serve you and we want to create a sense of family which means we all take care of each other. Let us the rock the start of the new school year and get inspire to serve other and grow as leaders. You can do it Trojans I believe in you!!!

Hey Trojans! I'm Angela Moreno and I am your new Executive Assistant for the 2014-2015 year. I'm super excited about the programs we're raising money for. Eliminating a disease off the face of this earth and saving lives? How much cooler can this get?! I’m looking forward to a fantastic and successful year. See you around!
My name is Chinyere Jasmine Nwonye, and I am a senior at Edison High School. During my free time, I enjoy playing lacrosse, soccer, and piano. Additionally, I'm a member of five clubs at school including: ClubMed, L.I.F.E. Club, California Scholars Federation, SWAT, and Black Student Union. Though this is will be my first year of involvement with Key Club, my participation in other community service - based organizations, such as SWAT, has prepared me to take on a leadership role within Key Club. I'm excited to become a member of such an influential and thriving organization! I know that we will accomplish great things this year!

12th Annual Health Fair Service By Sean Ezenwugo | Edison High School
On Saturday, August 2, a few Key Club members lent a hand at the 12th Annual Health Fair at the newly-opened Gaston Middle School. The event is an opportunity for families living in the area to learn about healthy life choices, as well as receiving free produce. Eric Reynoso, Sidney Ezenwugo, and I worked with dozens of teenagers living in the southern area who wanted to help their local community. Some of the tasks included transporting watermelons to crates, bagging bell peppers, boxing onions, and carrying cantaloupe cases to families. The three intense hours of service was dotted with breaks for snow cones, hot dogs, and chances to converse with the adults. The event left a lasting mark not only on the ones who received, but the ones who gave, too.
July DCM / Trojan Water War By Ariana Mendoza | Edison High School
On July 25th, our Division hosted its July DCM and PTP Fundraiser at Cary Park! At the DCM our Division Leadership Team discussed various topics regarding to our t-shirt design contest, division point system, website, and goals. For the 2014-15 service year we want to raise $3000.00 for the Pediatric Trauma Program, $5000.00 for the Eliminate Project, and $1000.00 for the American Cancer Society. We also discussed growth in our members, clubs, service hours, as well as attendance. After our DCM, we had a crazy, awesome water balloon and water gun fight. Similar to the Hunger Games, we gathered all of the weapons in the center while everyone circled around them. At the count of three, everyone was soaked. We raised a little over $100.00 for PTP! The fundraiser was a really fun and creative way to help raise money. I hope to have more DCM’s like this in the future.
