E. Internship Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this module, students should be able to: 1. Relate theory to practical knowledge and skills relevant to the needs of the relevant industry and perform tasks as required by industry standards in a real business environment. 2. Employ interpersonal, networking and leadership skills in communicating with industry practitioners or/and people from different communities/background through the writing and speech conventions of the placement institution. 3. Comply with instructions to fulfill task requirements and able to perceive and respond effectively to the demands of the workplace in order to solidify team cooperation. 4. Practice good time management in accomplishing tasks, have respect for punctuality and uphold industryrelated ethical values at the workplace. 5. Apply knowledge and skills acquired at the workplace in new contexts or different situations for current and future development. 6. To comply with specific learning outcome stipulated by the School with relation to the respective programme.

F. Responsibilities Include: Student’s Responsibilities to the Employer and Institution 1. Perform the relevant tasks assigned at the internship, to the standards expected or above. 2. Notify the supervisors, in advance of any absences. 3. Abide by the institution’s code of conduct as well as the employer’s regulations and policies (including medical requirements, work schedule and other related areas). 4. Refrain from intentional misconduct or negligence on the internship environment and employees. 5. Assume responsibility for transportation to and from the internship site.

Provide opportunities for the intern to learn and meet the objectives of the internship. Guide and support the student during the internship. Provide comments for the student’s improvement. Seek feedback from the student in terms of his/her expectation of the specific duties. Inform the institution within 24 hours if any accidents occur. Evaluate the intern’s work using the ‘Internship Evaluation Form’ and return it to the Intern on the last day of their work. 7. Provide the necessary evaluation based on School’s requirement to support Intern’s report before the end of internship.

Indemnity I understand that: 1. As an Intern of the Company, I shall not, either during the continuance of my programme or thereafter except in the proper cause of my duties, divulge to any person whosoever, through whatever channels and shall use my best endeavour to prevent the publication or disclosure of any trade secrets or manufacturing process or any information concerning the business or finance of the Company or any dealings, transactions or affairs which may come to my knowledge during or in the course of my internship. These channels includes E-Portfolio, Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, blog, website, outgoing emails and other E-Communication and media, in addition to printed materials. 2. If I am found to have divulged or have caused to divulged or to have failed to use my best endeavours to prevent the publications or disclosure of such secrets or processes, the Company reserves the right to terminate my internship forthwith without notice or to take the appropriate legal action against me. 3. I shall undertake full responsibility of my action and behaviour at all times during the course of internship. The University shall not be liable for my misconduct or wrongdoing. 4. I further undertake not to breach the terms and conditions of the Company’s contract for industrial training. 5. I am aware of my responsibilities during the period of internship to the Internship Provider/Host, members of the public with whom I may come into contact during the internship and to the University. I understand and certify that my participation in the internship is completely compulsory. I acknowledge that the above company, Taylor’s University could not guarantee that the participants, equipment or activities would be free of hazard, accidents and / or injuries. I voluntarily assume and accept the risk of taking part in such an event/internship and I, together with my heirs, executors, parents, guardian and administrators, hereby release the above mentioned company, Taylor’s University, its directors, its officers, students, staff and other representative, from any duty or care towards me, in connection with internship or in any related activities irrespective of whether such claim or claims arise through negligence of any person, or from any of the risks, dangers or hazards inherent in this event/internship, or any loss of, or damage to, any property from any cause whatsoever and I further indemnify and hold harmless associated persons against any claims howsoever the same may arise. Taylor’s University & the above company will be indemnified and will not be held responsible for anything that happens to me during my internship. Page

After signing this document by all the parties involved, the Internship is deemed valid and cannot be revoked, except under the clauses for internship ending as per the academic handbook.
