What the Owner Says “When we first saw this house six years ago, it was its undeniable character that we fell in love with. It’s in such a brilliant location – Waitrose is our larder! The moment you walk out you’re in Brighton, yet when you close the front door you wouldn’t know it. When the inner hallway door closes you can’t hear anything. We spend most of our time in either the study or the kitchen when we’re at home and the sitting room is brilliant for when the family visits. We’ll really miss this house, it’s got everything. There’s lots of buses at the end of the road to take you anywhere you like. The sea is approximately 400 yards away and there’s so many restaurants and pubs nearby. From time to time we’ve rented out the lower ground floor to people from the theatre, and it’s really good for guests when they come to stay as well as they feel they can come and go as they want. The house is just such a comfortable place to be.” In The Local Area – Located in the very heart of Brighton close to the seafront and promenade, the green open spaces of Hove Lawns and St Ann’s Well Gardens are only a short walk away. When it comes to shops, bars and restaurants there’s no shortage of choice as the amenities of Western Road, Church Road and Brighton City centre are all close at hand. Local schools include Brunswick Primary School, Brighton and Hove High School, St Paul’s CE School and Nursery, Hove Junior School and Middle Street Primary School, while Brighton Hove and Sussex Sixth Form College (BHASVIC) is within easy reach. Plenty of bus services provide access to all parts of the city as well as nearby outlying villages and up to Devil’s Dyke. Hove and Brighton train stations are both approximately under a mile away and provide regular mainline links for commuters. While you’re out and about, Brighton & Hove City Council and BT have joined forces to make free Wi-Fi available from their network of 40 hotspots at a range of locations across the city centre. This section of Montpelier Road benefits from Superfast Broadband access with average speeds up to 200Mbps, ideal for those who work from home.
