Why buy mass-produced art when you can purchase beautiful originals? An art exhibit featuring originals and prints of wellknown MS artist Sam Beibers will be held in the St. Francis library May 6 from 10:00 - 2:00. Other featured artists include Lauren Pigford, SFA parent Mayu Calvo and newcomer Mike Sain. In addition, St. Francis and St. Benedict students and alumni will also have some beautiful original artwork, including pottery pieces, available for purchase. Meet/greet the artists from noon -1:00 in the St. Francis library then stay for the live auction. For budding young artists, there will be lots of make-it/takeit activities in which to participate. Also, make sure to purchase a one-of-a-kind stick horse for the 1:30 race. Each horse is unique and comes with its own "birth certificate." Purchase your horse ahead of time to have the best selection. The "horse stable" will be on display in the SFA front office. In addition to the live auction, there will also be a silent auction. It is going on now and will conclude at 12:45 on Saturday. Go to https://www.32auctions.com/SFA2017 to find some fabulous items such as a Weekend in Pickwick for up to 18 people, New Year's Eve in Orlando, gift cards, dog and cat baskets and so much more. Be sure to check in daily for updates. This fun family event is sponsored by the David Cervetti Animal Rescue Club at SFA. ALL proceeds will be used to help animal rescue organizations such as The Elephant Sanctuary, Pets Alive, and Wilson's Animal Rescue. In addition, other groups that support healing and comfort through the use of animals such as The Seeing Eye and Warhorses for Heroes will also benefit from our efforts. Thanks to Hollywood Feed for sponsoring our event. Free goody bags will be handed out to the first 50 families. See you Saturday!

The David Cervetti Animal Rescue Club at St. Francis of Assisi School

About the club… David Cervetti was a 4th term veterinary student at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies when he passed away as a result of a car crash in which he was a passenger in 2016.David loved animals of all shapes and sizes and dreamed of becoming a vet since he was a young child attending St. Benedict/St. Francis Schools. In memory of David and in honor of St. Francis, the Patron Saint of Animals, this club was formed. It is our hope that this club will be able to help many animals in need with our fundraising efforts.

Dear Friends, It is that time of year for the Drive it Home campaign to support our local Ronald McDonald House of Memphis. Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Memphis, at no charge to guests, provides

supportive services and a "home-away-from-home" for St. Jude families and their children receiving treatment for cancer and other catastrophic childhood illnesses. Since opening its doors in 1991, Ronald McDonald House® of Memphis has provided a home for more than 9,285 children from nearly every state and 45 countries. Because of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis, families can face the weight of illness together. They enable families to focus on the health of their children rather than anything else - paying bills, cooking meals or cleaning the house.
