DISTRACTED AND IMPAIRED DRIVING SIMULATOR AAA’s driving simulator is now at the AAA Memphis office in Cordova, providing an opportunity for people to get behind a virtual wheel and experience the dangers and consequences of distracted driving. Schedule an appointment for your teen at AAA to allow them to get a first hand and powerful demonstration of the repurcussions of texting/emailing/tweeting and driving as well as driving under the influence. Participants will also experience how reaction times and visibility are altered for intoxicated drivers. Nearly 80% of crashes are caused by distracted drivers.

When: NOW through June 17 from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday – Friday. No Charge Anyone who successfully navigates both simulations without having an accident or getting arrested (virtually) will win two VIP movie passes to MALCO. This is an opportunity for you to provide your teen with a valuable and potentially life saving experience. As an added benefit you will be able to have your teen go through a CARFIT process. In this they will be shown the safest way to sit behind the wheel of a car. They’ll also be shown how to completely eliminate those dreaded blind spots from any vehicle. The entire process takes about 30 minutes so appointments are necessary.
