We mourn the loss of another member of our SBA family!

It is with profound sadness that we inform our SBA family of the death of Sean O'Leary (SBA Class of 2006). He is the son of Sean & Ann O'Leary (Ann is a long-time employee of SBA-Director of Campus Operations). Sean's brother Brad graduated in 2008 and his youngest brother Brian is a rising junior at SBA. Please keep the O'Leary family in your prayers. His obituary with funeral & reception arrangements follows Sean Michael O’Leary, Jr., 28, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, May 29, 2016. Sean was born December 17, 1987, in Memphis, TN. From an early age, he shared a love of nature, the outdoors and all of God’s creatures, especially his best friend, Taffy. He was a gentle soul who loved his family, sharing the holidays, and his friends. Sean was a St. Benedict at Auburndale graduate and attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Sean is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Phil M. Turner, Sr., and his paternal grandfather, Mr. Edward C. O’Leary. He is survived by his parents, Sean and Ann, his brothers, Bradley and Brian, paternal grandmother, Maureen “Mom” O’Leary, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 2, at 1:30pm followed by a funeral Mass at 3:00pm at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Cordova, TN. A reception will follow immediately after at St. Benedict at Auburndale High School in Cordova. Memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Thanks to all the votes in the Commercial Appeal’s Memphis Most competition, St. Benedict was chosen one of the Top 5 Private Schools in the city.

CHOIR AUDITIONS – MOVED TO Wed., JUNE 1, 10:00 am in the Choir Room. Students should bring at least one prepared piece of music (musical theatre, classical, sacred, pop, R&B, jazz, etc.), although encouraged to bring more than one piece to demonstrate vocal diversity. Also, should be ready to vocalize. All Show Choir candidates must be prepared to learn a short dance.

DRIVER’S PERMIT ATTENDANCE ATTENDNCE VERIFICATION FORM Required in order for a student to get a Driver’s Permit! Students may pick up a form in the front office during regular office hours. Please have student Social Security Number to complete the form.

Used Uniform Sale Drop Off Day: Monday, June 6, 2016 Drop Off Times: 7:30-10:00 am and 5:30 - 7:15 pm Location: Rotunda foyer area (outside the school office) PROCEDURES:  Bring in CLEAN uniforms, in good condition and on hangers.

Stained and torn items will not be accepted.  Bring completed form and tagged items.

PICK UP DAY Tuesday, June 7, 2016 Time: 12:00-1:00 pm and 5:00-6:00 pm 1. Pick up money and any unsold items.

2. Any items you do not want back can be donated to Home and School.

3. Any unsold uniforms and/or money not picked up at the posted time will be donated to Home and School. **The sale will be held in the Rotunda foyer area outside the school office. We cannot be responsible for loss due to fire, theft, etc.

We will be using similar forms and procedures as in past years. Please note the following: 1. Clothes must be on hangers and already tagged before drop off.

2. For ease at check in, please place clothes in the order they are listed on the form.

3. Use the form included in SBA Monday Mail and the Home and School web page to list each item.

4. When listing items to sell, please be very specific: (girls/skirt/color/size; boys/khaki pants/size 32 x 33 for example) 5. Place tag on the upper left side of each item. Each tag should include your name (who the check is payable to), item number on your list, size and price. Please attach tags with safety pins.
