TITLE of SECTION SBC of VIRGINIA | 1

Welcome from

OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Welcome messengers and guests to the 2015 SBC OF VIRGINIA ANNUAL HOMECOMING!

W

e pray that this will be much more than just another meeting, but instead, a time for SBC of Virginia churches to worship together as we celebrate how we have worked together to plant, strengthen, and mobilize so that the Gospel of Christ can be proclaimed. “Strengthening Churches with a bold commitment to the Great Commission” has been our theme, and this year we highlight the Great Commission. Matthew 28:18-20 is simply and often referred to as The Great Commission. As followers of Christ we are called to “make disciples”. Some form of Christ’s commission is also found in other places of the New Testament. The Lord Jesus Christ has called us, has commanded us to proclaim the gospel unto the ends of the earth. As you experience this homecoming these next couple of days, our prayer is that you will be encouraged by the ministry that is taking place thanks to your church partnership in praying, giving, and going! The Great Commission is no small suggestion! Your brother in Christ, BRIAN AUTRY Executive Director SBC of Virginia bautry@sbcv.org facebook.com/brian.autry.70 @brianautry
