PRESENTED BY SECOND BAPTIST SCHOOL
Mindset: The New Psychology of Success by Carol S. Dweck is the inspiration for this year’s TechFest. In her book, the author discusses the idea that every person tends to lean toward a certain mindset when learning a new task, attempting something difficult or coping with failure. The two mindsets, fixed and growth, were discovered by Dweck after decades of research. People with a fixed mindset believe they are born with basic abilities like intelligence or talent and these traits are set and cannot be developed. People with a growth mindset believe that these basic qualities can be expanded through hard work. How do you feel about integrating technology? Do you think you’re not “techy” enough? At TechFest 2016 you’ll learn infinite possibilities. Stretch and develop your technology knowledge. Change your fixed mindset. Tap into your very own growth mindset!
