SCAD  Sequences

Introduction SCAD Sequences contains selections from storyboards, character designs, 3-D maquettes, concept art, cover art and comics, all created by SCAD sequential art students. Thematically, these works run the gamut; they represent both the fantastical and the everyday, and include fast-paced action, epic adventures, menacing villains and gallant superheroes. As diverse as the work they create, SCAD sequential art students hail from all around the world, and together, they form the largest and one of the oldest university departments dedicated to comics, graphic novels and storyboarding. Guided by internationally recognized faculty, SCAD students are prepared to become visual storytellers for a new generation. Alumni of the SCAD sequential art program are highly sought-after by companies including Boom! Studios, Archaia Entertainment, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Oni Press, Legendary Comics, Top Cow Productions, Floyd County Productions, Bento Box Entertainment, Schell Games, Kiz Studios, Scholastic, Image Comics and DreamWorks. Discover sequential art at SCAD — the university dubbed the “Harvard of comics” by Philadelphia Weekly — where master storytellers mentor the next generation of superhero scribes, graphic novelists and captivating cartoonists.
