Angels at the Creation
When God created heaven and earth, the angels rejoiced, jumping for joy when they saw all that God had created. Job 38:7

A crying boy
A little boy cried because he was thirsty and had no water. God heard the boy crying, and sent an angel to help his mother find water. God blessed the little boy. Genesis 21:8-21

A wife for Isaac
Abraham said to his servant, “Go to my homeland and find a wife for my son Isaac. God will send his angel to help you find the right girl.” So the angel helped the servant. After some weeks, he returned with Rebekah, and she became Isaac’s wife. Genesis 24:1-67

Jacob’s dream
Isaac’s son, Jacob, had a dream. In the dream, he saw a ladder reaching from the earth to

heaven, and angels were walking up and down to help the people on earth. At the top of the ladder stood God, who said to Jacob: "I will give all this land to you and your children's children.� Genesis 28:10-22

Jacob blesses Joseph’s sons
Joseph went to visit his father who was about to die. He took with him his two sons so that they could receive a blessing from Joseph’s father.

The old man said, “May the angel who has delivered me from all harm, bless these boys!� Genesis 48:1-22

Moses at the burning bush
An angel came to Moses in a burning bush and told him to bring the Israelites out of the land of the evil Pharaoh. So Moses went to Egypt and rescued the people. Exodus 3:1-22

The angel protects the people
When Pharaoh realized what he had done by letting the Israelites leave his land, he wanted to send his men after them to attack them. But the Lord put an angel behind the Israelites to protect them. Exodus 14:1-31

The angel leads the people
The Lord sent an angel ahead of Moses and the Israelites in order to protect them from the people that wanted to harm them. God said to Moses, “See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and

to bring you to the place I have prepared for you. My angel will go ahead of you and bring you into the land.� Exodus 23:20-33

A donkey speaks
A man named Balaam saddled his donkey to go on a journey. God did not want him to go, so He sent an angel on the road to stop the donkey. The donkey saw the angel and tried to go around him. Balaam got angry at the donkey and kicked her. But the Lord made the donkey speak to Balaam so he could see the angel on the road. Then the Lord sent Balaam the way He wanted him to go. Numbers 22:21-41

God calls Gideon
An angel of the Lord went to see Gideon and tell him that he was to save Israel from the hand of their enemy. Gideon asked for a

sign to see if it was really God speaking, so the angel consumed the food Gideon set before him with fire. Judges 6:11-24

Samson’s birth
The Lord sent an angel to a woman and told her that she was about to have a boy. He was going to be called Samson. He would be a strong man to help rescue his people from the Philistines. Judges 13:1-24

Elijah was afraid and ran for his life out into the desert. He had no food and no water. He wished to die but an angel came to encourage him. 1 Kings 19:1-9

Daniel’s friends
King Nebuchadnezzar built a statue and made all the people in the land worship it. But there were three young men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who wouldn’t worship the idol. So the king had them thrown into a fiery furnace. But the Lord sent an angel into the fire with them so that they would not be harmed. Daniel 3:1-30
