At the very beginning, before there was anything else, there was God. God wanted to make a world full of life and amazing things. So He spoke. God’s words were all it took to make something out of nothing. “Light,” He said. And light shined into the darkness. “Land. Water. Plants. Stars. Animals.” Everything God said came to be. Then God made humans in His own image to live in the wonderful world He had made with His words. Creation Genesis 1:1-31

People used their actions and words to be so bad and mean that God was sorry He had made them. The only man who loved God was Noah. So, God spoke to Noah. “Build a big boat,” God said. “I’m sending a flood to wash away everything bad, but I’ll keep you safe.” Noah listened to God’s words and built a huge boat called an ark. The king put Joseph in charge of all the food in Egypt. Later, there wasn’t enough food anywhere else. When Joseph’s brothers went down to buy food, he told them, “God put me here to save all your lives. I love you and I forgive you.”
