REFUSE COLLECTORS – MANY SOLUTIONS, ALL SCANIA

Cleaning from horizon to horizon There are many advantages to owning and operating Scania trucks, but one thing is certain: your drivers and crews will like these vehicles for the comfort and ergonomics they bring to the job on a daily basis. Before you even enter the cab you’ll notice it’s easier to step aboard with our low-entry models featuring kerb-side kneeling lower than any other. Wide doors provide easier access for your crew. Drivers appreciate the generous legroom and having a place to rest their feet when underway. In addition, the extra space behind the seats allows comfortable individual seat placement together with improved stowage space.

Ultimately, whether your operations are domestic, industrial, private or public, Scania offers excellent value for money. You can rely on Scania for a total environmental focus with reduced life-cycle costs and optimal uptime. In short, it’s about pride of ownership. And it all starts with the core Scania values of outstanding fuel economy, exceptional driveability and legendary reliability – proven over millions and millions of miles.

Scania benefits that will improve your business • Modular flexibility – The basis for Scania’s extraordinary adaptability is our modular philosophy, which provides you with quality assurance, reliability, service support, parts availability and uptime. It works by allowing a limited number of proven components with common interfaces to be used in innumerable combinations. • Bodywork CAN-bus – Simplifies body communications and equipment connections while enhancing reliability and uptime. • Outstanding fuel economy – Euro 4 engines further enhance Scania’s ability to provide excellent fuel economy. These state-of-the-art engines combine our unique high-pressure unit injection with Scania EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) for efficient reduction of emmissions – all without the need for additives. Automatic or Opticruise transmissions connect to rear axles specially chosen for their suitability to the stopand-go requirements of the refuse business. • Better safety and ergonomics – A Scania cab is the safest and most comfortable workplace on the road, today.

Low-entry cab Many refuse crews enter and exit their cabs more than 200 times daily, so this process has to be easy. That’s why Scania low-entry models feature kerbside kneeling functionality, broad and low steps, and a door that opens to 90 degrees with an ergonomically shaped handle. Inside there is a flat floor and plenty of room so that even longlegged drivers easily find a comfortable driving position. In the low-entry cab, the driver and crew also enjoy unmatched forward visibility.
