EXPERIENCE AND LEARN THE GERMAN LANGUAGE WITH ALL SENSES
A medieval city surrounded by vineyards, Meersburg is a model picture of a German town and the perfect place to learn the language: with intensive one-on-one courses led by a team of experienced teachers in an authentic learning environment, Meersburg Academy makes German accessible for all levels.

“We teach with heart and soul,” says Claudie Wagner-Duprez, who founded the Meersburg Academy (MAC) in January 2008. Most of her students are successful business leaders, working for German companies or international companies with branches in the DACH region, and have often advanced their career thanks to their new German language skills.
Students will stay in one of the two modern flats on the second floor of the building with their own private bathroom, WiFi, a balcony and TV. The light-filled classrooms downstairs create a calm and inspiring learning environment. Students normally stay for one to four weeks and have three different teachers, so that the lessons do not become boring over time.
Meersburg Academy combines structure with culture. For example, Claudie Wagner-Duprez puts great emphasis on having breakfast together with students: “It is a small ritual where we practice light conversation like ‘Hast du gut geschlafen?’” The same happens during breaks and dinner in one of the region’s outstanding restaurants, which students can spend conversing with their teacher and local people. This helps them to learn how to quickly react and deal with unexpected situations in an environment where students can feel confident and with their teacher available as a safety net on hand.

Digitisation, online training, hybrid learning: these have been the main buzzwords in education during the last two years. The Academy of Languages in Heidelberg has recognised this trend, implemented language courses as live online training with the latest technology and firmly anchored it in its offer alongside face-to-face classes.
As one of the largest language schools in Europe and one of the leading providers of German courses and German language tests worldwide, the Academy of Languages has been a unique place for intercultural encounters for language students from all over the world for a quarter of a century. The Academy of Languages has specialised in conducting pathway programmes for international prospective university students. With a wide range of preparatory language courses, language students can acquire internationally recognised language certificates such as TestDaF, telc C1 Hochschule, ECL, TOEFL or IELTS. The WORK & STUDY GERMANY Foundation programme, which the Academy of Languages’ language school developed with the F+U partner universities iba, isba and Victoria, is a unique preparatory programme in Germany for a dual, job-integrated course of study at German universities.
In addition, the Academy of Languages offers special programmes for children and younger people, tailor-made individual tuition, company training and business and specialist language courses.
