welcome Earlier this year, the UN backed Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Report, referred to as the IPCC report, created headlines all over the world. The report was the first to be released since 2013, and the results alarming – showing that the last decade held the highest average temperature in 125,000 years, and that the increasing number of extreme weather events can be directly linked to human-made climate change. The message was both deeply disturbing and crystal clear: we need to change our ways and we need to do it now. By bringing together stakeholders from across a range of industries and from both Sweden and the UK, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK is hoping to serve as a platform for the important discussions on how we together strive towards a green recovery. At Impact you will meet businesses making real impactful changes to their operations, hear about business models being turned upside down, policy makers working alongside corporates, and the next generation entrepreneurs and ideas shaping our future. Join us on a journey towards a greener, cleaner future. A special thank you to our sponsors SEB, Skanska, SSAB, Vattenfall, Wastefront and White & Case, as well as our partners at the Department for International Trade for making this important event possible.
