SFCCA-SCCCI Joint Initiative “饮水思源、共育贤才” in Support of the Lee Kuan Yew Centennial Fund
The Lee Kuan Yew Centennial Fund was launched on 30 May 2023 as a means to support the development of Singapore youth to become our future leaders, to pass on Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s visionary thinking, imagination and determination, with a view that we continue to shape Singapore’s future as an exceptional nation.
The Chinese Community deeply appreciates Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s contributions, his leadership in building the modern Singapore and instilling in everyone the values which have given Singapore and Singaporeans a strong and respected character internationally despite our geographical constraints and strategic vulnerabilities.
To this end, Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA) and Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI) are jointly leading an initiative titled “
”. We hope to collaborate with our networks of members, clans, affiliated schools, trade associations and community partners to galvanise Singaporeans to make donations to the Lee Kuan Yew Centennial Fund. The aim is to encourage Singaporeans from all walks of life to pledge their support for this initiative and make donations to the Lee Kuan Yew Centennial Fund, regardless the amount.
This initiative will last for two and a half months, starting from 1 July till 15 September 2023 This would be done through collection of walk-in donations and signing of donation books at collection points established within the community. Signatures on the books are not required to indicate the donation amount. We seek your support to establish a collection point – a donation box and a book for signature – at your location to conveniently reach out to wider Singaporeans for their active participation
