den danske SCENEKUNSTSKOLE københavn – EFTERUDDANNELSEN
PROGRAM 2015
A warm Thanks to Selma and Sofiane Ouissi for so generously sharing the photos from Laaroussa
Chopping, grinding, mixing, knead, mould, embellish: the hands of the women from the Northern Tunisian village Sejnane have been making their typical pottery this way for several hundred years. This craftwork, but also the dreadful economic situation of the region, inspired dancers/ choreographers Sofiane and Selma Ouissi to develop a special project in which art and social involvement coincide. They helped to better the women’s economical position by developing a pottery cooperation. Laaroussa (Berber for bride or doll) is a collective art project, a poetic video work and a performance of abstract, sensual choreography with refined, repetitive movements which have been released from the concrete labour: the shaping of clay. the Danish national School of performing arts – continuing education
Where would Continuing Education be without co-partners? THANK YOU to all of those who have approached us with innovative and exciting projects. In 2015, all Danish performing arts programmes merged into the Danish School of Performing Arts (DDSKS). We look forward to welcoming new colleagues. Upgrading actor’s skills is an important task for us. Together with the Danish Actors’ Association we are going to Los Angeles for inspiration and knowledge. In June, we have the honour to welcome master voice teacher, Patsy Rodenburg who will introduce us to the use of the voice in Shakespeare’s wonderful world. DDSKS has received a 3-year grant from the Ministry of Culture for projects supporting the school’s strategies. We are responsible for the process that moves in the space between visual and performing arts. In short, a new year with amazing offers for all performing artist. But let’s not forget our colleagues less fortunate – all over the word artists are subjected to persecution and abuse. This year, one of our Cuban colleagues is unable to attend one of our seminars, as she has just been detained and deprived of her passport, due to a peaceful protest action. We pray for her release.

dubbing

7079 theatre and participation The symposium will focus on the new forms of interactivity in the performing arts
The symposium, in cooperation with the European theatre school network Ecole des Ecoles, will focus on the new forms of interactivity in the performing arts. Everything can be turned upside down to create a new reality in the theatre. A reality where artists reach out to the human being in all of us, and seek for the authentic in the art; while the audience can no longer remain passive but must engage in new ways. What kind of aesthetic and ethical considerations does this create among theatre artists, and how does it affect the audience? time:

7056 kunst og censur
transformationer

Since 2003, Continuing Education has provided knowledge, inspiration and new skills to the professional performing art environment. CE offers a range of workshops, master classes, symposia and theatre tours to different parts of the world – with the best international capacities that can be found. The Department is striving to build a bridge between theory and practice and create platforms for interdisciplinary collaboration. We are constantly looking for and introducing new tendencies, methods and ways of working for the benefit of the Danish performing arts scene – all of this with a strong international anchoring.
