s we put the final stroke on the 3rd issue of Scenes of Red Bluff, we really want to thank everyone who has contributed to getting it off the ground, and that especially includes our advertisers, those that have provided photos for everyone to enjoy, and others that have given their time and resources, but also to those of you who have enjoyed flipping through the pages of our magazine. And when I say ‘ours’, I mean the entire community of Red Bluff. In this day of information overload, it is our hope that you’ll appreciate a simple and fun portrayal of the people, places, and events of this wonderful area. Don’t keep it to yourself though, share it with your friends and family, and make sure you dress to impress when venturing outside your home, because you never know when the paparazzi will show up to capture the latest Scene. Thank you again, and we look forward to bringing you more exciting ‘Scenes’ for many years to come. Publishers Michael Weibling Jr.

The 7th Annual was held in July to benefit the restoration of the Mcglynn Pool.

Miss Tehama County watches as contestants compete in the Lawnmower Races and Strongman Competition at Heritage Days, a new 4th of July celebration in Red Bluff.

We started Heritage Days on The 4th of July this year, but they celebrated our Nations Independence with a Military parade through downtown back in 1898, as seen in the main photo on this page. The photo in the upper left shows the early days of the drag boat races. It wasn’t a race against the clock in those days, it was the 1st to cross the finish line, and it appears the wide line had the advantage. Let’s hope the changes aren’t so drastic between now and the next drag race on the river.

All you need to know about the main picture on this page is that it was the Northern Section Championship game, while the embrace and the scoreboard tell the rest of the story. Cari Rodriguez captured the moment perfectly with this photo, as well as the others seen on this page. Congratulations Ladies on a Championship season

Floor lighting shining up through potted plants can cast interesting shadows on your walls. Mirrors visually double your space and light. Using a variety of light sources enhances the carpet and allows you to see subtleties of texture and color.”
