More historic wonders await today. You may like to take a guided tour of the beautiful town of Veere or visit the engineering marvel that is the Delta Works, a system of dams, locks and levees that protect against flooding. Alternatively, the crisp, cold waters of the nearby North Sea are ideal for oyster farming, so you can also visit a local oyster farm. This evening, enjoy a welcome gala dinner.
Welcome to Germany and the city of Düsseldorf, known for its art scene and fashion industry. Active travellers can explore the banks of the Rhine on two wheels during a guided cycling tour. Or you can discover the city on a walking tour or see the city via coach and visit the renowned K21 Museum. Alternatively, taste Dusseldorf’s traditional altbier on a walking tour visiting local bars.
Today is a highlight of your journey. Enjoy a full day on board your luxurious Space-Ship as it cruises through the spectacular Moselle Valley. The steep banks are lined with postcard-perfect villages, terraced vineyards, historic halftimbered houses and hilltop castles. You can also use this day to relax in the Salt Therapy Lounge or book in for a spa treatment. Arrive in Cochem this evening.
One of Germany’s oldest cities, Koblenz was founded by the Romans and is brimming with history. You can discover its wonders on a walking tour or visit the medieval Marksburg Castle. Alternatively, you could choose to visit the medieval city of Limburg to walk its cobblestone streets and try Limburger Säcker, a traditional pastry.
Relax on board this morning as you sail through the picturesque Rhine Gorge, where the dramatic landscapes are dotted with stone castles and medieval towns. Arrive this afternoon in Rüdesheim. Active travellers can hike to the Niederwald monument. Alternatively learn about weird and wonderful mechanical musical instruments at Siegfried’s Musikkabinett Museum. Tonight, enjoy an exclusive evening with drinks and canapes at the Schloss Johannisberg, a historic winery renowned as the birthplace of Riesling Spätlese.

Crossing the border into Belgium, you’ll dock in Antwerp, one of the world’s most important seaports. Choose to take a walking tour of this grand city or sample two of Belgium’s most iconic delicacies during a chocolate and beer pairing experience. Or guests interested in WWI history can spend a full day exploring Ypres and Passchendaele, learning about the major battles that took place here.
Arrive in Arnhem after lunch. This afternoon visit the The KröllerMüller Museum, located in the Hoge Veluwe National Park. The museum is renowned for its impressive collection of Vincent van Gogh paintings and one of the largest sculpture gardens in Europe.
You may like to spend the morning exploring this traditional German town on foot or by bike. A guided walking tour takes you through Cochem’s charming streets and includes a visit to Reichsburg Castle. Or hop on an e-bike to cycle along the flat path beside the Moselle River, exploring Cochem and the nearby towns of Valwig and Belstein.

Tonight you are in for a special treat with a private classical concert in the UNESCO listed Liebfrauenkirche located in the heart of the Roman city of Trier.
Strasbourg is at the heart of the Alsace wine region. Choose to visit one of the best vineyards in the region to taste their worldfamous Riesling and pinot gris. Alternatively, visit the French city of Strasbourg on a guided walking tour or enjoy a cycling tour that will take you out into the lush countryside, past charming canals and through sleepy villages.
Breisach
Breisach is the gateway to Germany’s legendary Black Forest. You may want to join a guided tour to the medieval town of Freiburg, which sits at the edge of this mountainous woodland, to explore its historic centre and taste local delicacies. You can also enjoy a wine tasting at a vineyard in the Kaiserstuhl region or visit Colmar, a beautiful city that’s considered the cultural heart of the Alsace region.
Your Scenic river cruise concludes in Basel. Bid farewell to your Scenic Space-Ship crew and transfer to Zurich to explore the delights of Switzerland. Known as a global financial centre, Zurich is home to one of Europe’s most eclectic cultural scenes, contemporary art and a fascinating history. On a guided tour, you’ll visit the old town, stroll along the “most beautiful walk in the world” past the Limmat River and Lake Zurich and explore the high-end shopping of Bahnhofstrasse. Day 16
Zurich > Lucerne
After breakfast, travel by coach to impossibly pretty Lucerne, situated on the edge of the spectacular Lake Lucerne. Here you’ll find exquisite medieval architecture, a 685-year-old wooden footbridge (the oldest in Europe) and glimpses of the distant and majestic Alps. Explore Lucerne’s wonderfully preserved Old Town on an orientation with your Tour Director before settling in at your 5-star hotel, The Mandarin Oriental Palace.
Tonight, enjoy a short lake cruise and a funicular ride up to Burgenstock Resort restaurant, with the sparkling city lights below. You’ll dine with Scenic founder Glen Moroney while enjoying breathtaking views of
the mountains, Lake Lucerne and the Old Town.
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and prepare for incredible views. This morning you’ll head to the summit of Mount Titlis via the world’s first revolving cable car. Enjoy a truly amazing 360-degree panorama of snow-capped mountains and stunning glaciers as you make your way to the top of the world.
Afterwards, you’ll enjoy a traditional Swiss lunch at Mountain Restaurant Fürenalp, which is situated 1850 metres above sea level.
After breakfast you’ll travel by coach from Lucerne to Interlaken, a city that sits between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. Enjoy spectacular views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains as you explore this wonderful town.
This afternoon, you’ll cruise the turquoise waters of Lake Brienz and pass by charming lakeside villages before checking into the Victoria Jungfrau hotel for the first of two nights’ accommodation.
Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at your hotel before journeying to traditional alpine villages. Your first stop, Lauterbrunnen, features dramatic cliffsides and an incredible 72 waterfalls, all overlooked by the towering Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The powerful Staubbach Falls are a must-see, and there’s much to discover in the town’s charming streets.
Next is Murren, a car-free village lined with traditional wooden chalets. Murren is renowned as one of Switzerland’s most beautiful mountain villages.
After breakfast, your luggage will travel by coach to Lausanne while you enjoy the panoramic GoldenPass train journey from Interlaken to Montreux. Your
first-class voyage spectacularly showcases the Alps. At Montreux, embark on an immersive city tour. From its musical heritage as host of the annual Montreux Jazz Festival to the picturesque Old Town and stunning quays, there’s plenty to savour.
Afterwards, continue by coach to Lausanne. Home of the International Olympic Committee, Lausanne features an impressive Olympic Museum, world-class skiing, impressive views of the Alps and Lake Geneva and the landmark Notre-Dame Cathedral. On this penultimate day of your Swiss sojourn, you’ll embark on a journey to the World Heritagelisted Lavaux vineyards. One of the world’s most picturesque wine regions, Lavaux sits between Lausanne and Montreux and is home to Switzerland’s Grand Crus.
