Join your guide on a bicycle tour along the Danube to the quaint village of Dürnstein. Pass by charming villages and scenic vineyard landscapes. You will have time to stop along the way to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Danube.

This cycling tour leaves from the ship and takes you through mostly flat paths. We cycle upstream along the river and then cross to the Danube Island. On the Danube Island, we go downstream along the river and cross the Danube again using the Prater Brucke and cycle back through the Prater Park. The route will be approximately 16km long.

BULGARIA SILISTRA ACTIVE WALK TO SILISTRA FORT

Join your coach and local guide and transfer to the Fort, situated to the south of Silistra. Upon arrival tour the fort on foot and learn about its history. The fort is the best preserved of the six points of the Turkish fortification system, which played an important role in the Russian-Turkish wars. On a full day excursion, travel from Antwerp and visit the towns of Passchendaele and Ypres to learn about the World War I battle of Passchendaele. Start by taking a walk on the Rally Grounds before a visit of Courtroom 600, where the major war criminal trials were held. Nürnberger Lebkuchen was invented by medieval monks in Germany during the 13th century. With an experienced local chef you can learn how to bake this soft, moist and nutty traditional German gingerbread. Enjoy tasting this regional delight whilst learning about the region and its history. You may be surprised how different this is to todays modern day gingerbread.

Take a ferry through Danube Gorge to Weltenburg Abbey, the oldest monastery in Bavaria, founded in approximately 600AD. Explore the Abbey & Cloiser Church. Afterwards sample the beer produced in the Abbey, known as the oldest monastic brewery in the world. Beer was first produced on site by monks in the year 1050 and has continued ever since, often winning prestigious awards for their beer.

CYCLING TO WALHALLA

Our guided bike tour takes us through the wonderful scenery of the Donau Valley. We ride approximately 60 minutes along the riverside, through the countryside, until we arrive to our destination: Walhalla, where we have to scale 358 steps.

The Walhalla is considered the most important of all works commissioned by King Ludwig l of Bavaria.

KUCHLBAUER’S WORLD OF BEER

Visit the unique brewery designed by Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, known for his use of bright colours and shapes. Discover how beer is produced in this quirky brewery.

WALKING TOUR OF WÜRZBURG

Wurzburg is located in the Bavaria region and is known for its lavish Baroque and Rococo architecture. Wurzburg is also the epicentre of the Franconian Wine region and is littered with charming wine bars. During the walking tour, guests will walk the famous Mainbrucke that was built in the 16th century as the main link between the Marienberg Fortress and vineyards and the main town on opposite sides of the river, and the Marienkapelle built during the 14th and 15th centurys.

From the pier take a mini train through the quaint winding streets of the town to Siegfrieds Musikkabinett Museum where a local guide will introduce you to the weird and wonderful mechanical musical instruments.
