This morning, you awake in a tropical paradise, Isla Tortugas. Remote and pristine, it will ease you gently into your Costa Rica adventure. On arrival to Curú National Park, visit the Curú Wildlife Refuge. Be introduced to a variety of wildlife that thrives here, including up to 200 species of birds, capuchin and howler monkeys as well as sloths and anteaters.

It is one of the few remaining examples in the world of a protected area inhabited by humans
Day 6: Utria National Park, Colombia Sitting on Colombia’s Pacific coast is the lush tract of Utría National Park. From coral reefs and mangroves in the marine realm, to tropical rainforest and rocky beaches where sea turtles come to lay their eggs, few places in the world encompass the diversity of Utría’s ecosystems. Mangrove swamp trails Take a walk through this distinctively South American habitat, on raised walkways that wind through the eerie swamps. Day 2: Paracas Paracas is a town on Peru’s west coast. It’s known for beaches, like El Chaco, set on sheltered Paracas Bay. Day 5: Arica, Chile Chile’s northernmost city, Arica, is characteristically arid for the region, which is home to the world’s driest desert, the Atacama. Stark, barren, and filled with rocky outcrops, a visit to the dramatic landscape of the desert is a spellbinding experience.

Day 1: Santiago > Valparaiso, Chile The World Heritage-listed city of Valparaíso welcomes with its long and colourful history dating back to the conquistadors. This vibrant city is rich in theatre, music, performance and street art and exquisite Victorian architecture. Most streets, staircases, alleyways and buildings are brightly painted.
Day 2: At Sea
Day 3: Puerto Montt At the very end of the Pan American highway is Puerto Montt, which is the starting point for a fabled land of fjords, canals, islands, snow-capped volcanoes, green-forested hills and the enchantment of Southern Chile. Puerto Montt is the perfect starting point to explore the German cities of Frutillar and Puerto Varas.
Featured Activity Orsono Volcano and Petrohué Falls This active volcano is one of Chile’s most iconic natural landmarks and is often compared to Mount Fuji. Vast cooled lava flows trace the paths of previous eruptions, and the vigorous Petrohué river follows them downwards, pooling into the vivid green Llanquihue Lake below.
