Life is finite and rare opportunities must be grasped firmly with both hands. This is one!!! Set on a gorgeous island in the azure blue Lake Wyaralong, this treasure is only an hour from Brisbane or the Gold Coast. It’s a beautiful drive. Helicopters can get you there in 15 minutes.

The local owners have established a serious agribusiness on the 4000 acres with about eight kilometres of waterfront. The jewel is this magnificent vineyard which produces GOLD MEDAL winning wines.

EAT

Two French Chefs head chef Olivier Boudon creates a bespoke menu weekly that features the freshest of local Scenic Rim produce. Tantalisingly prepared to cater for every desire, the culinary delights seamlessly embody the best the region can offer. Rave reviews are awarded routinely. Importantly, the delicacies are matched perfectly with the wines.

AMBIENCE

The architecturally stunning Cellar Door enjoys a lakeside position with unparalleled rural views. Exemplary service, live music on the weekends, wildlife galore and natural tranquility are all there to be savoured.

WINES

This Mediterranean-like terroir is perfect for the Italian and Spanish varieties planted by the family. The whites are led by the Sardinian Vermentino and the Fiano from Campania. Both are blended to make an extraordinary Storm Cru Sparkling White.

The reds are Montepulciano from Abruzzo on the east coast of Italy and Tempranillo from the Toro region in Northern Spain. Together they also create the brilliant Storm Cru Sparkling Red.

The Vermentino combines with the bleedings from the skins of the Montepulciano to make the highly sophisticated Rose'. Expect to be both genuinely surprised and pleasantly rewarded by these Queensland-grown offerings.

STAY

Five luxury cabins are under construction now and are positioned deep in the forests for privacy. They are purposely elevated for spectacular views of the rugged mountains, the lush valleys and the sparkling lake. Expect early morning or dusk visits from kangaroos and wild deer.
