Stroll a mere 10 meters and into the farm shed of Elderflower Farm’s garden shop for freshly cut flowers and rustic homewares. Beaudesert Café
With their modern inspired cuisine with an Asian fusion, and pastries to die for, Beaudesert Café is located in the heart of Beaudesert. Enjoy the relaxed vibe, modern fit out (is it just us or is everyone else obsessed with concrete polished floors too??) read the newspaper and fill your body with ridiculously good food.
Café on Cusack
We adore this beautiful little café. This hidden gem (that everyone should know about) with its own fairy light laden alleyway is worth the small deviation into Jimboomba. Café on Cusack is rustic and sweet and serves us incredible food. Their menu will have you doing little happy claps and you’ll be wanting to be a regular in no time.
El Social
The newest addition to the main street of Canungra is El Social, formerly the Canungra Hub Café. New owners Verity and Ivan have taken this thriving café and given it a tasteful twist, offering café culture by day and Tapas bar vibes by night. It needs to be noted, this venue serves up great café staples as well as to die for cakes (all handmade from scratch) and the authentic Tapas style menu drawing inspiration from Ivan's South American heritage.
Situated just a short drive from Beaudesert, overlooking the serenity of Wyaralong Dam, is the breathtaking OVERLFOW ESTATE 1895 – a working cattle farm and vineyard. Resident Chef Olivier Boudon serves up a French inspired menu, perfectly paired with delicious wines, stunning views and the mesmerizing architectural work of Con Zahos, of Loucas Zahos Architects. Owners David and Noleen are often on hand, guiding visitors through the cellar door, taste testing and sharing their love of this most special place.
A favourite with those 'in the know', Hickory Slow, specialises in American BBQ featuring slow-smoked meats, delicious sides and cocktails. Enjoy Tamborine Mountain’s cosiest restaurant, serving up comforting food that the entire crew will love. Executive Chef and restaurant owner Brad, demonstrates his undeniable experience and passion for authentic smoked BBQ food, along with local wines, craft beers and house-made cocktails. If food made from scratch packed with loads of flavour is your thing, then Hickory Slow is your 'go to' for a big hearty feed.
Catering for every demographic, Ginja Ninja in Canungra serves up fresh handmade Japanese inspired food in the coolest of settings. Where do we start with Thunderbird Park? There is so much to do here! Stretching over 114 acres, this is where adventure meets nature! It is certainly one of the most popular attractions they have on offer (you will love it as much as the kids do!), but don’t forget to mine for crystals, have a round of mini golf, feed the birds, swim in the rockpools and play laser skirmish. Recently renovated and beautifully done, the food is amazing. If you are bringing the kids, enjoy not hearing, 'I’m bored' for the ENTIRE day!
Looking for something a little creative? Grounded Village is a creative workshop and events space. Bringing together local makers and creators to teach you to create your own way. Grounded Village offers kids and adults classes, school term workshops, private events such as baby showers and bridal showers. A favourite shop with Tamborine Mountain locals, Illahie Boutique provides a great range of finds. From Boho fashion staples and gorgeous handmade jewellery to the perfect pair of slides or that special candle, for a special someone. A visit to Main Street on the Mountain is not complete without a good coffee in hand from the Providore, a browse of the health food store and fruit and veg shop and of course Illahie Boutique, for when you just need to take some time to yourself.
Lá Modé Collection
A beautiful store filled with so much love and delightfully curated homewares and gorgeous country gifts, right in the heart of the Scenic Rim, Beaudesert. A day trip to Beaudesert has never looked this good before, with the opening of beautiful boutiques such as Lá Modé Collection, and a strong café culture, and gorgeous hotels and pubs, as well as The Centre – Beaudesert’s Art Gallery… you’ll be wanting to explore more of the regions business centre. A day out of shopping, lunch and art, doesn’t get much better than that.
Looking to explore the region and pick up some local produce along the way? Then Oppy’s Fruit and Veg will see that you leave our beautiful Scenic Rim well stocked. Located in the historical Boonah Butter Factory, a visit to Oppy’s will be met with the friendliest of service and the biggest display of local produce. The team at Oppy’s are all fabulous locals, so enjoy getting to know the region via a good chat and a big shop.

Duck Junction
It can be hard looking for special items to fill your home or gift to those you love, however the ladies at Duck Junction have you covered. Both of these stores are located in Cusack Lane, a little hidden gem and not technically in the Scenic Rim, however we still think it’s well worth a day trip to visit this magical retail experience. Not only can you shop the latest finds in fashion, you can seek out the latest in cool homewares. A mix of bohemian trends with luxurious finds, what better way to spoil the women in your life or yourself. Indulge in a day out shopping and a bite to eat at Café on Cusack next door, also listed in our Eat section.

Lou’s store high atop a hill, in the middle of quite literally, hills and mountains…is like a shopper’s oasis. Something for absolutely everyone, this boutique store and café will have you leaving with a haul of finds and a full tummy. A beautiful drive from Boonah or Beaudesert, just a short drive from Rathdowney and Maroon Dam… an absolute favourite of ours if you’re looking for scenery, food and retail all in the one spot.
