Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours has more than 38 years experience creating unforgettable handcrafted journeys for our guests. We are a proudly Australian-founded company and have introduced itineraries that travel to more than 57 remarkable countries. Since 2008, Scenic has set the benchmark for truly all inclusive, luxury five-star river cruises in Europe and South East Asia. Reserved for up to only 228 guests (200 in Antarctica and the Arctic), each Discovery Yacht’s 114 suites are sophisticated in design, with their own private verandah and butler service. An abundance of indulgent spaces encourages complete relaxation, from the 550m2 Senses Spa, where Scandinavian-inspired spa facilities, a Vitality Pool and a specialised yoga and Pilates studio focus on our guest’s wellbeing. With up to 10 culinary experiences, ranging from fine dining to casual, and nine bars and lounges offering a wide selection of premium beverages, Scenic’s truly all-inclusive philosophy ensures guests can leave their wallet at home.
Scenic Eclipse is built to the highest standards for complete comfort and peace of mind. Its state-of-the-art technology includes custombuilt stabilisers that are 50% larger than those on other ships to provide greater stability as well as safe and comfortable navigation through waters. Guests can explore beyond the horizon with two state-of-the-art Airbus H130-T2 helicopters, custom-designed for optimal flightseeing excursions. Or, dive below the ocean with Scenic Neptune, our custom-designed submersible, for sightseeing excursions in crystal-clear waters, observing the vibrant marine life.

Scenic Eclipse, The World’s First Discovery Yacht launched in August 2019. Featuring 10 dining experiences, nine bars and lounges, spacious suites, an almost 1:1 crew to guest ratio. The only ship with two helicopters, a submersible, state-of-the-art technology and expansive 550m2 wellness spa, Scenic Eclipse becomes one of the most innovative ships of its time.

Scenic Neptune completed the world’s first submersible night dives to witness the rarely seen Diel Vertical Migration off the Oaxacan coast in Mexico and marking the first commercial night dive by an expedition ship.

Scenic Eclipse II is christened in Málaga, Spain. Godmother, Dr Kathy Sullivan has travelled into space three times as one of NASA’s first female astronauts and is the first American woman to complete a space walk. Along with these incredible achievements, Dr Sullivan is also the first woman to explore Challenger Deep, the deepest part of Earth’s oceans, earning her the title of the “World’s Most Vertical Person”.

Scenic Eclipse celebrates first helicopter landing on Antarctica’s Snow Hill Island
Guests joined an exclusive helicopter excursion to land on the sea ice near the Weddell Sea’s Snow Hill Island. The landing offered the rare opportunity to view a colony of more than 4,000 breeding pairs of the tallest and heaviest of all living penguin species - the Emperor penguin.

Next-generation submersible, Scenic Neptune II, launches Scenic Neptune II, the submersible customdesigned with Triton Submarines arrives on board Scenic Eclipse II for her inaugural Oceania season.

Keeping a safe distance from wildlife
As the only ocean cruising company to operate, design and deliver the build of its ships, at Scenic Group we place the guest experience at the heart of everything we do. The launch of Scenic Eclipse, the World’s First Discovery Yachts, in 2019 established the new benchmark in ultra-luxury cruising. This has been further elevated with the arrival of Scenic Eclipse II in 2023.
From unique vision to inventive reality – building Scenic Eclipse II
By designing, managing the build and full fit out of our ships through Scenic Group’s subsidiary, MKM Yachts, at our shipyard in Rijeka, Croatia, we can swiftly transform our guest and crew feedback and into reality. With complete control of all new ship designs, building, crew and operations, our team also integrates industry best practice enhancements and new features to future-proof ship facilities and experiences. We are proud to have James Griffiths (General Manager Ocean Operations), Jason Flesher (Director of Discovery Operations) and Tom Götter (Vice President Oceans Hotel Operations) deeply involved in the design of the Discovery Yachts. They have implemented the key learnings from operating Scenic Eclipse, making Scenic Eclipse II the most advanced and unique ultra-luxury ship in the world.

Some tips from us to capture that perfect social worthy content:
Photo/Video Tips
Use natural light as much as possible
Be sure not to position the sun directly in your photo
Avoid using the flash, as it can create harsh lighting
Remember to compose the subject of your shot to the left, the middle or the right
Don’t be afraid to shoot from different angles
Use objects or places around you as props
Avoid filters, emojis or animations on your photos or videos
Avoid taking images from behind or over the shoulder
Hold the camera steady while filming – avoid camera shake
Consider vertical format (Instagram) vs horizontal (Facebook)
Videos should be no longer than 5-10 seconds to capture a moment
Make sure the camera lens is clean and dust / smudge free
Avoid zooming in: When you take a photo from a distance, it’s tempting to zoom in on something specific you’re trying to capture. But it’s actually better not to zoom in — doing so can make the photo appear grainy, blurry, or pixelated.

Expedition activities should reflect enrichment and ultra-luxury
Port photos should only be posted the day after a ship leaves port and not when ship is docked. This is for ship and passenger security purposes. Do not show other discovery/expedition cruise ships
