I always remind our parent educators to teach each parent we work with as they would want to be taught!

My son loves that he gets something in the mail just for him. As soon as a book arrives, he immediately wants us to sit down and read it. I hated reading as a child, so I love it that he loves books and reading. I hope and pray that the good start that this program has given him will carry through to all of his schooling.

My son liked the materials in the kit, but he really liked the magnifier glass. He spent a lot of time going around inside and outside of the house looking at things. He kept going on about all of the “cool stuff” he got. Every parent should participate in the program."

No matter how many trainings I attend, I always enjoy Ms. McCants’ sessions. Even when we are discussing something as stressful as child abuse and neglect, she still makes our time together fun, and I just love that First Steps gets her to help us to be better in working with our kids.
