Enjoy an afternoon of music, speakers, crafts, family activities and more at this celebration of Juneteenth. Presented in partnership with Township of Schaumburg, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Hoffman Estates Cultural Awareness Commission and Northwest Suburban Peace Alliance.

Rainbow Celebration

Join us for a family Pride celebration! We’ll have crafts, music, a scavenger hunt and giveaways to celebrate love, acceptance and being who you are.

Violins Of Hope Exhibit

Central Commons • Aug. 7 - Sept. 7

We’re proud to host a few items from this collection of string instruments played by Jewish musicians before and during the Holocaust. They’ve been painstakingly restored and are open to view, bringing a message of hope, resistance, resilience and unity. Join the Schaumburg Youth Orchestra on Thursday, Aug. 31 in the Central Library Workshop at 7 p.m. for a special performance to celebrate this exhibit.

Land Acknowledgement Ceremony

Town Square • Saturday, Aug. 26 • 1-3 p.m.

We’ll present our formal land acknowledgement, then enjoy a dance performance and crafts and artifacts that honor and celebrate Native American cultures. This program is presented in partnership with Midwest SOARRING Foundation.
