We Speak Your Language

According to data from School District 54, nearly 60% of families in our community speak a language other than (or in addition to) English at home. To better serve these individuals, we’re proud to offer LanguageLine at all our locations.

LanguageLine is a live translation service we can use over the phone and in-person to serve our patrons in their native languages. This service gives us immediate access to translators for more than 200 languages, including the most spoken languages in our community, like Spanish, Polish, Gujarati, Urdu and Japanese.

LanguageLine is available now at all public desks at all three of our locations. Everyone is welcome at our Library, and we hope this new service helps us to provide an excellent experience to every Library visitor.
