Dear parent or carer, Thank you for helping us with a very smooth and effective start to the new term last week. I hope that you will agree with me that the new entrance and other facilities that opened for the students look fabulous and are a huge improvement on what we had previously. I am extremely pleased to be able to inform you that this week I have been notified by the Department of Education that our bid for further funding regarding the school facilities has been approved. This means that Phase 3 of the school refurbishment/building programme can commence with a further ÂŁ650,000 now available for us to finish the improvements to the curriculum areas in the secondary phases. Parent/carers of the Primary aged children should have received a letter from Mr Farley highlighting the new arrangements for dropping off and collecting their children at the end of the day. Please bear with us whilst we attempt to find the optimum operational arrangement to ensure the safe and efficient start and end of the school day. Overall the standard of uniform is good, however, may I please remind you that socks should be black. Shoes should also be black. Finally, a reminder that school will be closed on Monday, 5th May 2014 to all students because of the bank holiday. School will re-open on Tuesday, 6th May 2014 with the usual 8.50am prompt start.
