Dear Parent/Guardian Mesne Lea Primary School Redevelopment – Public Exhibition As you may be aware, Mesne Lea Primary school has secured funding to build a new school and play facilities on its existing site. In summary the proposal is to redevelop the former Inscape House site to provide a new modern school building combining Nursery, Infant and Junior school. Once complete, the existing Mesne Lea Primary School will be demolished, and this part of the site will be reinstated as green open space. The replacement school will be able to accommodate the growing needs of both pupils and the local community. As a parent/guardian we fully appreciate that you will be keen to understand exactly what is proposed and how it may impact upon you and your children. Therefore, a public exhibition has been arranged where the current proposals will be displayed ahead of the submission of a planning application. The details of the exhibition are as follows: • • •
Venue: Mesne Lea Primary School, Walkden Road, Worsley. M28 7FG; Dates: Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st August 2014; Time: 15.30 until 19.30 both dates.
The exhibited material will include the latest plans and drawings and it will also provide details regarding access arrangements, the phasing of development, the construction process and timescales. The event will be supervised by members of the project team in order that any queries can be answered. There will also be an opportunity to record any observations on a feedback form.
