St Anne’s RC Primary School Report to Governors on Pupil Premium Grant Expenditure 2013/14 Number of Pupils and premium grant (PPG) received Total number of pupils on role 247-264 Total number eligible for PPG R-Yr6 74 Amount received per child £900 Total amount of PPG received £99464 (includes ever 6) Previous Performance of disadvantaged pupils (pupils eligible for free school meals or in local authority care for at least 6 months) KS1 phonics – 86% achieved the expected standard which is significantly above NA (57%) KS1 assessments-. FSM pupils outperformed Non-FSM pupils with both groups above average, whilst there was a narrow gap between the performance of ‘Ever 6’ and Non-FSM pupils – 0.8APS. St Anne’s pupils performed above the LA average for their group 2013 KS2 data--FSM and ‘Ever 6’ pupils both achieved above the average for group but there were gaps in their achievement (wider than average for ‘Ever 6’ pupils) because Non-FSM pupils attained above the average for their group.

KS2 FSM value added in all subjects was significantly above NA 101.2.

Maths VA also significantly above at 102.1. ** above local and national average Objectives in spending Pupils Premium Grant 2013/14  Raising attainment and achievement in English and Maths through focused support.  Providing social and emotional support/interventions to improve attendance and support for vulnerable children and families

 Provide personalised learning opportunities through 1-1 tuition and small group tuition.  Curriculum enhancement-subsidised trips, theatre groups/curriculum workshops activities.  Increase access to IT hardware to support leaning throughout the day and during extended school times- before and after school club, booster sessions etc.

Summary of Spending and actions taken.  Learning mentor support 18  External 1-1 tuition 2%  Caritas Social Worker 5%  Trips and visitors 6%  SEN TA 15%  Shortfall in statement funding for FSM pupils 36%  External support services and advice 5%  New IT resources to aid learning 17% Outcomes to date  A large majority of pupils in the pupil premium cohort made accelerated progress across the school in English and Maths.  St Anne’s pupil premium cohort performed significantly above Manchester LA in English, maths and English and Maths combined.  Value added for FSM pupils is significantly above national in all subjects 101.9 and maths 102.1  Levels of overall absence consolidated at 4.76%, resulting in attendance of 95.24%, at least in line with average. In the current year to date attendance is at 96.79 (13.6.14)
