MISCHIEF IN THE WILD WOODS BLACKBEARD'S REVENGE Family activity for children with special needs (2-19) - to be shared with siblings and parents/carers "Totally interactive. Dressing up/waving a flag/becoming a character. The children (and adults) become part of the show but what’s brilliant is there is no pressure. They haven’t got to “perform” and can get involved as little or as much as they want. Also the child does not have to be at a certain ability level to be able to participate. It is literally accessible for all."

I loved the way that so much thought had gone into the sensory aspect of it, from the texture of the shells to the water spray and the smell of the hot chocolate. He also loved the songs, the puppet dog, trying on the animal masks in the jungle and the feel of the baby snakes. I thought that the whole thing was fab. The length of the show was just right and moving from scene to scene kept the whole thing fresh and interesting. I really like the fact that the children can be as involved as they want. My son is quite timid and likes to take things at his own pace. Your shows give him the opportunity to be able to participate within his comfort zone. He hates to feel under pressure or to feel that he will be asked to perform and at these shows there is never any pressure to do so. In fact this is the only way that he can actually experience drama and acting. He cannot cope with being in a traditional theatre set-up, so thank you for bringing the theatre to him at level he can understand and appreciate." • Those with (or eligible for) Gateway Cards: £3 pp aged 2+.
