Useful Information • Although children often say they can smell their own jumper, please ensure that all clothes and personal items are named. • An old shirt or overall (named) is necessary for when we get messy in art/DT. • The children are encouraged to bring water bottles into class. Please name the bottles and ensure children take them home at the end of each day to be cleaned and refilled. • Children need their PE kits in school every day as this allows us to be flexible with our timetable and get outside when the weather is dry. P.E Kit  Change of white T-shirt, sports shorts (plain), socks, hair ties (for long hair)  plimsolls/trainers  jogging suit (for cold weather)  Please ensure children can remove their earrings for PE lessons . Important Dates ‘Meet the teachers’ open afternoon. We would love to see as many parents/carers as possible on Tuesday 23rd September at 2:30pm where you can pop in to class and join your child in some exciting learning.

Parent Consultation Evening – letter to follow Please pop in after school for a quick chat or by appointment for lengthier discussions. Behaviour and Expectations Each class will create their own class charter and revisit our school rules. Positive behaviour and attitudes to learning are rewarded with verbal praise, class points (blobs), raffle tickets, family points, stickers and positive certificates. If a child on occasion, makes a poor choice linked to their behaviour or learning then they may be moved to sit on their own, sent to complete their learning in a paired class or sent to the year leader. Severe or continual poor behaviour choices will be dealt with by a member of the senior leadership team. Please see the school’s behaviour policy for further guidance. Building Learning Power (The 5 Rs) In class we will talk a lot about how to be a great learner. We will be exercising our learning muscles throughout the year by being resourceful, resilient, responsible, reflective and reasoning learners. Our aim is to always try our best and be the best we can be.

Introducing our team: 4 Guildford – Mrs Kingshott (Year Leader), Mrs Vacher and Mrs Parry 4 Winchester – Mr Andrews and Mrs Read 4 Salisbury – Mr Haydon and Miss Bucknall

We would love to hear from parents, carers or grandparents who are able to come in to class and support children’s learning, for example to hear readers. Please speak to your child’s class teacher.
