September – INSET DAY Physical Education Days and Kits

Now that we are all fully back into the swing of school can parents and carers please ensure that their child has their PE kit in school with them on the following days: Caterpillars Tuesday Rabbits Tuesday/Wednesday Otters Monday/Tuesday Squirrels Tuesday/ Thursday Penguins Tuesday/Wednesday Owls Tuesday/Thursday Dolphins Thursday Giraffes Thursday Lions Tuesday It is important that children have appropriate clothing on these days to allow them to fully participate in their PE lessons. APPLYING FOR SCHOOL PLACES FOR SEPTEMBER 2015 For Lancashire resident families who will require a primary or secondary school place in September 2015 the means of application is via Lancashire's on-line system. If you would like to do this using school’s facilities please contact the school office. The system went live on 1st September 2014. It is quick and easy to use and offers an e-mail receipt of all submitted applications. If you want your child to come to Bishop Martin please make sure you complete the additional Church School form and bring in to school. Please ensure that you hit the "submit" button when you are ready to send in your completed on-line application. You must apply even if you already have children at your preferred school. The closing dates for applications for September 2015 are at 11-59 pm on:Secondary school applications – 31st October 2014 Primary school applications – 15th January 2015
