Breakfast Club will be held in the Junior Hall starting Monday 14th July until the infant refurbishment is complete. All children must go through the schools main entrance in the Junior Building. Please watch this space for updates.
Carnival Fun! Last Friday all our children took part in a spectacular carnival as part of our World Cup Fever topic. The children have spent lots of time learning about Brazil and the cultures there as well as learning about other countries participating in the World Cup. Each class chose a different theme for their costumes and the carnival was a real success. The children also worked on enterprise ideas and made a wide variety of goods to sell. Thank you to the teachers and staff for their hard work and efforts and thank you to all the parents and family members who supported the event.
Thank you and well done to all the children for their fantastic work on Art attack day from Miss Davis. The day was spent making items to sell at the Carnival. It was a really fun day for all the children. Year 6 will be selling anything left over at break time on Tuesday 22nd July in the Junior Hall.
Water Aid
Beechwood Court Request
On Wednesday we had a visitor to Bishop Martin. Janet Hudson, who visited us in January from 'Water Aid', returned to collect the money we had raised on behalf od the charity. She was very impressed both with the total and the fact that apparently we are the first school to ever invite her back at the end of the a project to present our fundraising! Just another reason to be 'Proud to be Bishop Martin!'
We have had a request from Beechwood Court residents. We kindly request that parents ensure at the start and end of the day that pupils to do not run on the ramp leading up to the entrance of Beechwood Court or swing on the railings. These are needed to be kept clear at all times for resident access. Thank you for your ongoing support.
