The Invention of Hugo Cabret Over the next 4 weeks Year 6 will be exploring the world of theatre and film through the eyes of a young boy Science Pupils will investigate the idea that light travels in straight lines. They will also explore the concept that objects are seen because light travels from light sources to our eyes or is reflected from

called Hugo. We will be comparing this book, by Brian Selznick, to the film ‘Hugo’ within our film narrative literacy topic. Pupils will also get to develop their drama skills and re-create scenes using animation software in ICT, as well as freeze frames which can be performed in our very own shadow theatre!
