How to support your child’s learning at home To help your child further in their education, they must be doing the following activities at home. 

They must read for 10 minutes each night to an adult. The adult must then fill in their reading journal. Practice times tables. By the end of year 3 your child should know their 2, 3, 4, 5, 9 and 10 times tables off by heart. Each child has a home school journal. These must be signed by an adult each week and be in school every day.

To promote independence year 3 children are required to enter school by themselves. If as a parent you wish to speak to a teacher they are always available at the end of the school day.

Don’t forget PE! PE kits should be in school every day.
