Do Blackpool Sixth accept CVs?
No, we do not accept CVs as part of our application process. All applicants must complete the Blackpool Sixth Form College application form. This procedure is in line with our commitment to safer recruitment practices and follows the "Keeping Children Safe in Education" guidance. Any CVs sent directly to the college will be deleted and not considered during the shortlisting process. It is crucial for applicants to adhere to the specified application process to ensure their application is reviewed.

Can I have a tour of the college?
All successful applicants will have a tour of the college as part of the assessment day. Due to time constraints, we are unable to provide tours outside of this.
Shortlisting and Interview Process
When can I expect to hear if I have been shortlisted or not?
We will notify both shortlisted candidates and those who are not shortlisted as soon as possible.
What happens next?
After the closing date, we begin our shortlisting process, which can take a few days to ensure we thoroughly evaluate all the information provided and shortlist the right candidates. Successful candidates will receive an invitation to interview with details of any preparation required in advance. A courtesy call will be made to ensure they have all the necessary information. Candidates are asked to confirm their attendance with HR and inform us of any special requirements or adjustments needed.
What happens on the interview day?
The day varies depending on the position applied for. Arrival at the college is typically between 8:00 am and 8:30 am. The morning consists of tasks designed to explore your knowledge, skills, and capabilities for the role. These activities are assessed to determine who will proceed to the formal interview stage. You will be asked to bring ID for DBS application processing, proof of your right to work in the UK, and certificates for any relevant qualifications.
