What is an Endeavour Leader of Education?

Endeavour Leaders of Education (ELEs) play a transformational role in developing leadership capacity within schools, empowering leaders to drive improvements. Deployment is requested by headteachers as part of school strategies.

ELEs provide support, including:

- Facilitate open communication

- Provide tailored guidance

- Encourage a collaborative culture

- Offer ongoing support

- Monitor progress and provide feedback

Their goal is to foster sustainable improvements and a culture of growth.

Who can apply?

We are seeking colleagues from across the Trust to join our inaugural 2025-26 programme. This opportunity is open to middle leaders, TLR holders, lead practitioners, and specialists who have demonstrated impact in curriculum, pastoral care, or specialist roles, or who have experience driving successful school change.

Our first cohort will focus on the following areas:

Curriculum: English, Maths, Science, Personal Development, Curriculum Development, Pedagogy, Teaching and Learning

Pastoral: Attendance, Behaviour and Attitudes

Specialism: Safeguarding, Early Years, SEND, ECT/ITT, Digital Literacy, CPD

How will I be supported if I become an ELE?

Once selected, you will be invited to our ELE CPD programme, which will cover key areas such as:

Cross-school leadership

Effective communication

Effective action planning and evaluation

Throughout your year as an ELE, you will receive support from:

The headteacher

Your school contact

The wider ELE team

The Trust team

I am interested, what happens now?

Step 1: Attend a Q&A webinar to learn more about the role and ask questions on Thursday the 07th November 2024

Step 2: Pre-register your interest by Friday the 15th November 2024

Step 3: By Friday the 29th November 2024, your headteacher will meet with you about a possible endorsement and next steps

Step 4: If endorsed by your headteacher, you can Apply by Friday the 13th December 2024

Step 5: If shortlisted, you will be contacted and invited to an assessment day week commencing the 20th January 2025
