Our House Captains The House Captains lead their House in a variety of events and have overall responsibility for their House in ‘House related events.’ There are two House Captains per House. Our House Captains accept responsibility for the supervision of younger pupils. They have leadership skills to provide a role model for younger pupils. They also cooperate with members of staff and other prefects. They are able to work in a team. Role description – responsibilities of a House Captain To help co-ordinate their House in House events such as Sports Days and other interhouse competitions. To encourage children to participate in House events. To be prepared to give up their own time to help organise House related activities. To attend all House events. To count the House points/tokens on a weekly basis. To help organise House Assemblies with the Deputy Head teacher. To oversee the maintenance of the House Notice Board. To generate publicity and support for House events. To write up any House events for the website and, on occasions, the newsletter. To encourage children to participate and celebrate their success. To count the House Points in preparation for the ‘House Point Assembly’ every Thursday.To assist members of staff for part of a lunchtime for one day a week. (Please see Miss Hignett for more de-
