HOW TO APPLY FOR THIS POST Thank you for enquiring about a vacancy with The Blackpool Sixth Form College. The application form and Equal Opportunities form are available to download from our website or by contacting the Personnel Department by email personnel@blackpoolsixth.ac.uk. Your application form together with the Equal Opportunities Monitoring form should be completed and returned to Personnel no later than the time and date detailed in the letter enclosed with this pack. Please ensure that when completing Section 6 of the application form it is in line with the job description and personal specification details and outlines why you consider yourself to be a strong applicant for the post. This may be continued on a separate sheet but should be no more than 2 sides of A4 in total. It is important to note that a curriculum vitae will not be considered as part of the selection process. When completing the application form please ensure that you give details of the entire period since leaving full time education and explain any gaps in employment. Returning your application All completed application forms and Equal Opportunities forms must be returned to The Personnel Department, The Blackpool Sixth Form College, Blackpool Old Road, Blackpool, FY3 7LR by the closing date detailed in the attached letter. Would you please ensure that your completed application form is returned with the correct postage as incorrect postage delays delivery and incurs additional expense. As you are likely to use a large A4 envelope the current price for sending a First Class Large Letter up to 100g is 66p. The price for sending a First Class Letter up to 100g is 41p. You may also email your application to us at personnel@blackpoolsixth.ac.uk Shortlisting The College only acknowledges receipt of an application form, if you enclose a stamped selfaddressed envelope. Applications received via email will be acknowledge by return email. If you have not heard from us within three weeks of the closing date, please assume that your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. In order to ensure that all interviewees are given a full opportunity to demonstrate their skills and capabilities, a maximum of 6 candidates will be shortlisted. As such we reserve the right to give weight to the essential and desirable criteria. Interviews Please note that should your application be successful, you will be telephoned following the closing date to be advised of the interview date and time. Details of any preparation will be emailed to you at this time and also posted by First Class mail. We would therefore ask that you provide the correct contact details and ensure you check your emails following the closing date. The interviews will take place on the date specified in the letter between 8.15 am and 4.15 pm.
