Annual Report 2024

Dear Stakeholders,

The past year has been one of remarkable achievements and strategic progress for ONE Multi Academies Trust (previously known as The Khalsa Academies Trust). We take immense pride in celebrating the exceptional exam results across all phases in both of our academies, a testament to the dedication of our students, staff, and leadership teams. A further milestone was reached with Atam Academy’s successful Ofsted inspection, securing a ‘Good’ rating and reaffirming our commitment to providing high-quality education within our Sikh faith Trust. This achievement not only reflects the dedication and hard work of our school community but also sets a strong foundation for continued growth and improvement.

Our efforts to build a high-performing Trust have continued with the development of the ONE Standard Return our robust school improvement framework designed to drive excellence and consistency across all our academies. The framework has provided an invaluable structure for assessment, intervention, and continuous improvement, ensuring that every student receives the best possible support and opportunities to thrive. Additionally, we undertook a significant consultation on renaming our Trust to ONE Multi Academies Trust, a reflection of our evolution and the next phase of our growth strategy. This name change encapsulates our vision for unity, excellence and growth, reaffirming our commitment to strengthening our presence in the educational landscape.

Strengthening relationships with our academy communities has been a key focus, ensuring that our values and vision are embedded in every aspect of our work. Our engagement efforts have been multifaceted, including increased parental involvement, enhanced student voice initiatives, and stronger partnerships with local stakeholders This commitment to community engagement fosters a sense of belonging and collective responsibility for the success of our academies.

A major milestone this year was the appointment of a Faith Lead, dedicated to strengthen our faith providsion within our academies as well as implementing our Sikh Frameworks, reinforcing our commitment to providing an education rooted in faith, values, and inclusivity. Our Faith Lead has been instrumental in developing initiatives that deepen students' understanding of Sikh principles while fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity among students of all backgrounds Through faith-based assemblies, curriculum review, and community outreach, we continue to strengthen the spiritual and moral fabric of our academies.

Our contribution to the wider sector has also been notable; I was privileged to participate in The Key’s Leadership Podcast and serve as a panelist at the Schools and Academies Show, discussing the future of faith schools. Moreover, staff across the Trust played an integral role in shaping national conversations on best practices, with team members attending and participating as panelists on the MATPN stage to discuss innovative attendance strategies. These engagements have enabled us to share insights, learn from peers, and contribute to shaping policy and best practice in the education sector. We remain at the forefront of educational innovation with the launch of our MAT AI project in collaboration with Darren Coxon, exploring how artificial intelligence can enhance both organisational efficiency and teaching and learning experiences. This pioneering initiative seeks to harness AI technology to streamline administrative processes, personalise student learning experiences, and empower teachers with data-driven insights As we navigate the evolving technological landscape, we are committed to ensuring our academies remain adaptive, future-focused, and prepared for the demands of 21stcentury education.

Our commitment to professional development has been further strengthened with the enrolment of 40 staff members across the Trust on the Digital Apprenticeship, ensuring our workforce is equipped with future-ready skills. Investing in staff development is at the heart of our strategy, enabling our educators to refine their expertise, embrace innovation, and inspire the next generation of learners Alongside our apprenticeship initiative, we have expanded CPD opportunities, introduced leadership pathways, and fostered a culture of continuous learning within our Trust.

Our dedication to excellence has not gone unnoticed, as we were honoured to be finalists for the MATA Small MAT of the Year award This recognition underscores our unwavering pursuit of high standards, innovation, and positive impact in the education sector Being acknowledged on such a prestigious platform is a testament to the collective efforts of our staff, students, and communities in striving for excellence.

As we look ahead, we remain steadfast in our mission to empower our academies, inspire our communities, and elevate the educational experience for all our students. Our future focus includes continued school improvement efforts, expanding our academy network, deepening our faith-based provision, and leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance learning outcomes. We are confident that, through collaboration, innovation, and a relentless commitment to excellence, we will continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and the broader education sector. Thank you to our staff, students, families, and stakeholders for their continued support in making ONE Multi Academies Trust a beacon of excellence and innovation We look forward to another year of growth, achievement, and shared success.

HUMILITY: We practice Humility

Faith - The Heart of our Trust

At the heart of the One Multi Academies Trust is our unshakable faith in Sikhi, a universal way of life, which takes guidance and inspiration from the teachings of the Sikh Gurus.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru, stated “Manas Ki Jaat Sabhai Ekai Pehchanbo”, meaning, “Recognise the human race as one.” Through this message we aim to serve everyone equally, without bias. This profound teaching underscores our belief that together, we are stronger. By embracing our shared humanity, we celebrate diversity, foster inclusion, and build a brighter future for all. The principles of Sikhi shape our vision to be unapologetically authentic, whilst still remaining true to the core values of Seva (selfless service), Pyaar (love), and Daya (compassion).
