performing arts BTEC Level 3
Exam Board: Pearson Edexcel
What skills and techniques do singers, dancers and actors use to ensure a successful performance? How can you apply the ideas of practitioners to your own work? What makes a successful audition?
Is Performing Arts for you? It is not necessary to have studied Drama, Dance or Music at GCSE but you must be prepared to take part in practical sessions in each of the three art forms. It would be an advantage to have experience in at least one of the three areas. You are a confident and committed performer with excellent attendance. You have a wide interest in the Performing Arts, both as a participant and a spectator.
You wish to study and develop your skills, knowledge and performance ability in acting, singing and dance. You would like to work with like-minded students in order to explore a wide range of styles and techniques. This can be studied as a Certificate (equivalent of 1 AS Level) over one year or as a Subsidiary Diploma (equivalent to 1 A Level) over two years.
